“This place may appear to be your standard midwest Mexican restaurant, but it is way better than most. The food was excellent and so was the service. By the way, the salsa here is made on site and is some of the best I have ever had!! This is now my "go to" Mexican restaurant in Columbus, IN.”
“Hands down the best family diner I've ever been too. Way better than any Denny's or even cracker barrel I've ever been too. Great service on night shift. Friendly staff. Great food. 10/10. I will be back.”
“This is my favorite place to eat in Taylorsville for a fast food restaurant. Employees are nice and friendly. Place is clean and food is greatWheelchair accessibility: I was in an air cast this visit and entry was excellent”
“Fantastic food! Very personable, friendly service. We tried several items on the menu and shared them. Not one disappointing item served! Flavorful and a wide variety of foods offered. The cabbage rolls were a table favorite, along with the herb spread for the rolls. We look forward to coming back and trying each menu item!”
“Mediocre dining experiences are becoming all too common when dining out anymore. Upland’s offerings are definitely setting the bar for quality, variety, and originality. The staff are always courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Our whole family ordered something different and we were all very satisfied! The kids meal options include way more than most restaurants and the combo options are amazing. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. . We will definitely be back!”
“This is our favorite place for certain! The food is outstanding. The service is above and beyond wonderful! And the serving sizes are perfect for everyone! Some eat everything at the restaurant and I have a bedtime snack! ❤️”
“This was our first time here, and we will definitely be coming back!We walked in, and the ladies behind the counter were warm and welcoming! The whole process of ordering was fast and easy, and our beautiful food came out so quickly! The food was full and robust!I'm so happy we came!!!Thank you for servicing our community!Kid-friendliness: One of the employees gave my son a tool to help him use his chopsticks!!! They were all so kind!”
“I have had the Organic French press coffee, whole food and nutrient rich smoothies, a couple different avocado toast variations, juices, date-nut balls (usually two varieties), and warm sipping broths (miso options and mushroom powder options). All good stuff. I have not tried their salads or dressing, though they are all whole food based. The owners are young, kind, wonderful people, and they choose wisely in who they hire. They are passionate about providing organic and health-promoting foods.”
“I tried a chicken burrito and it was great. The chicken was seasoned well and had perfect char on it. It had lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream on it. The meal came with a spice tray that had 4 sauces and a habenero onion chutney. The sauces ranged from sweet to VERY hot. Having vacationed many times in Mexico I can say that TaColumbus is the most authentic "Mexican tourist" restaurant I have found anywhere in the midwest. The staff was friendly and attentive.”
“This place is amazing. I can't believe there is something like this in Columbus! When you walk in you're immediately overwhelmed with tons of choices of delicious looking baked goods and sweets. It's a bit intimidating at first but just pick up a metal tray and tongs, collect what you want, and take to the front counter to pay. I didn't see prices posted anywhere but what I got was very reasonably priced. I don't speak Spanish and the staff didn't seem to speak much English so I couldn't really ask questions about what I was getting so just considered it an adventure and picked a few things that looked good. Everything was delicious!”
“I've gotten the butterscotch pancakes many times, always good! The wait staff does fairly good when they're busy, usually a little wait for extra napkins, we enjoy the coffee, and there's only 1 time I can recall when I wasn't satisfied, it was a sloppily made Grilled Cheese sandwich, a choice of cheeses and breads would be a nice idea :)”
“My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 2 years ago, when he was 49. He had a stooped posture, tremors, right arm does not move and also a pulsating feeling in his body. He was placed on Sinemet for 8 months and then Sifrol was introduced and replaced the Senemet, during this time span he was also diagnosed with dementia. He started having hallucinations, lost touch with reality. Suspecting it was the medication I took him off the Sifrol (with the doctor’s knowledge) and started him on PD natural herbal formula we ordered from Health Care HERBAL CENTRE, his symptoms totally declined over a 3 weeks use of the Health Care HERBAL Parkinson's disease natural herbal formula. He is now almost 51 and doing very well, the disease is totally reversed! Visit w w w . healthcareherbalcentre . com”
“came here on a whim. from out of state but loved here long ago. was surprised to see a sushi restaurant at the old yeekee building. we had been debating on sushi for 2 hours. I'm lazy so my husband got a 3roll lunch special. my husband said the decor was great and the ms. lady taking his order was so sweet. miso soup was very flavorful and all 3 rolls hit the spot. thanks guys for some happiness on this gloomy, light icy, Thurs in Dec! 5+ stars!”
“Awesome from the start to the finish it had a opportunity to purchase fresh meat and sausage from their inside meat counter it is a great place for those that want to experience the real Mexican culture of great food and flavor and while waiting for my order to go it gives you an opportunity to visually experience the hard work and care they personally apply to each and every customers order the respect and service unquestionably some of the best I've ever personally experienced thank you very much”
“Would highly recommend everything was beyond perfect absolutely favorite restaurant in town. Honestly didn't even know the place was there but we are definitely glad we found it. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. This place definitely needs to be all over the web and every social media. I'm not the one to really post on a website but El Popocatepetl needs to be blasted everywhere thank you very much for the amazing food customer service and once again food was amazing.”
“I hate to admit that I’ve not been in here since the 1980s! I’m so happy I came in today. The food and service were excellent. I will definitely be adding 4th Street to my regular restaurant rotation.”
“I am very sad to have ever worked here. I had the absolute pleasure of waiting on every single customer. However, Orn does not do good business ethically. The health department needs to know about many things as well as Thai Connections customers. For example, Orn is too cheap to turn on hot water for the dish tank for the dishes to be properly washed of oils, grease, and most importantly other people's bacteria. I've sat quiet for too long. This place is an utter disgrace to downtown Columbus's image of inclusive culture and semi-fine dining.”
“Hog Molly was a great pit stop on our drive from NC to MN! Our goal is to find small/ family breweries along our route and HM is a gem! We got to visit with Martha and hear about their journey while enjoying various beers. Great beer, people and story! Highly recommend Blindside blackberry blonde and the stouts! ?”
“Life long resident of Columbus, but never came here. Finally tried it and it was wonderful. Fish was great and it reminds me a the great fish fry you get at a firehouse. The chocolate pie was amazing. Reminded me of the chocolate pie my aunt made. Staff and owner were extremely nice and kind. I will be back.”
“I loved eating here. My tenderloin was big enough to cover all the fries with which it was served. The staff were friendly and efficient, checking on me just enough. I want to go back and try other items on the menu. YUM.”
“I visited twice, and this cafe has special meaning for me. Coffee options are plentiful, and there's a space with larger tables for those needing a wi-fi workspace or place for families. There's also a nice children's area.Dietary restrictions: Oat creamers available”
“Discovered this place when I was here on a work trip. Ended up coming here three or four times a week for dinner or breakfast. The food is fantastic, the service is nonpareil, and the atmosphere is as warm and welcoming as any place in Indiana. Next time I’m back in town, I know exactly where I’m going!”
“Stay for the Ice Cream that makes you feel like a kid again, but run away from extremely loud organ that plays when actual kids press the button. Seriously, that thing is the single loudest machine on planet Earth. The ice cream is top notch, 10/10, you should go here, but... that organ... They actually have a table directly in front of it. Who do they put there and they go, "This is fine!"? The screaming baby next to us was a more welcome sound than the organ. Once the song finished and the worst family in the world was satisfied, off in the distance you hear a sound. The sound of a SECOND organ. Sweet baby jesus, why? What possible reason do they have for playing it that loud. I really can't think of any reason other than torture. They punish you... wait that's it! They punish you for eating the ice cream. This is some classical conditioning to associate the worst sound on the planet to eating the most delicious ice cream. Zaharakos is out here making us healthier. I hear the joyous crescendos of Mozart and I put my ice cream cone down and run. Cardio supports heart health. The service was nice. Our server couldn't hear our order and asked to repeat it. You might be going, "Oh, the organ?", but you'd be wrong. They had an ear piece with other employees talking to them and they just weren't listening to us. Funny enough, they waited to talk to us until the organ was done playing, so they have to notice. I wonder if they have a favorite tune. I wonder if they even hear it...wait... the ear piece??!! They don't hear it, they save themselves by wearing ear protection so only WE must endure. This place is something else. Also, the ice cream is really, really good. They take reservations, oddly enough, but unless they let you specify where NOT to be seated, you can just walk in most of the time.”
“This is around the corner from my house, so it’s fun to walk over in the morning for something extra special. I finally ate in with some friends for breakfast and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. I’ll be bringing more friends to try other good eats on the extensive menu.”
“This was my first trip to Indiana and my first fried pork loin experience. They didn't disappoint! You can make four regular sandwiches or one large Scooby and Shaggy sized one..”
“Oh my God! I swear I wouldn't have expected this! Pizza and curry ? Seriously I had the best Parmesan chicken I've ever had in my life here! And it's at a dang gas station?. Get whatever you want when you go but don't cheat yourself, get the parm wings and the masala fries. And for the love of God dip the fries in the chicken sauce! A+”
“We arrived 20 minutes late to our reservation. They were busy but quickly accommodated us. The food was delish! My husband had the lasagna (fabulous) and I had the T. H. Stein, a wonderful Ravioli dish. I definitely recommend this restaurant!”
“First time my husband & I ate here & they were the best choice we made! Not only are they friendly & fairly affordable, but they were fast & the food was very fresh! My meal was hot the entire time I was trying to eat haha. Definitely a good place to sit down. Beautiful decor inside!”
“Stumbled upon this restaurant after we accidentally took the wrong exit trying to get the outlet mall. What a happy accident! Met Carlos who was lovely and had a DELICIOUS lunch (pollo loco for win!) and street tacos for my husband -- along with a delicious beer on draft. The service was quick, food was delicious and everything hit the spot! Wish is was closer, but will be back next time we hit the outlet mall! Gracias!”
