The butter chicken with garlic naan is heavenly. The chicken curry is amazing too. Clean, cozy, and friendly. Now one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Terre Haute. Thanks to my niece for recommending!
I wish they would open a restaurant in Effingham, Il we would love to have one since it takes2 hr to drive just to jet there great food. Please open a place in Effighami, Il next to the Mexican restaurant it'd for.lease or sale
The outside of the building does not do this place justice.
The food is phenomenal! Staff is great. Very clean and friendly!

Taj Mahal is a highly recommended Indian restaurant offering options for every taste. The food is freaking delicious, with some specific meals like Aloo Naan and Vegetable Samosas noted for their wonderful taste and texture. Good sauces, including plum, mint, and tomato-onion, accompany the samosas. However, some dishes like Butter Chicken and Muttar Paneer had sauces that were too sweet. Other popular choices include chicken Tikka masala, lamb curry, and garlic naan. The atmosphere is nice, a little dimly lit and fancy setting, with an Indian market shop next to it. The service is friendly, great, and speedy, and the staff are very attentive. The food is generously portioned. While the price is kind of high, many would return when in the area. A minor inconvenience noted was the lack of silverware with a delivery order.
