“For a small-town family restaurant in Indiana, this is pretty darn good place for a meal. The fried appetizers are good and not too heavy. The broiled chicken was very tender and tasty. I absolutely love the baked sweet potato and house salad with ranch! My husband thought the flavor of the prime rib was a bit off and it was in a bowl of juices/sauce that made it messy to eat.

I would skip dessert - underwhelming and not worth the price. We ordered a chocolate cake slice and for $11, very disappointed. The slice was very small, the cake dry, and the chocolate frosting/ ganache was flavorless and underwhelming (store bought Betty Crocker frosting would have tasted better).“

“I live pretty close so I walked here this morning for breakfast. I haven’t dined here for a couple years. The last time I came was the solar eclipse and they had THE BEST chicken and noodles with green beans and mashed potatoes we ordered to go. This morning I ordered the Haystack and let me tell you I was already salivating when the lovely server set the plate down. The portion was a lot so I will be making several meals out of this absolutely scrumptious delight. I love the hometown feel and the friendliness of the staff. They make you feel like you belong here.“

“Stopped by this afternoon for the 1st time! We
were in town for the Indiana Youth Expo at Boone County Fairgrounds! And our Air bnb Host recommended we stop by! I had one of the Key Lime Bismarks. Hand down the absolute best Donut I've ever had anywhere! We will return if ever in the area again. Would go back tomorrow. But, they are closed on Sunday! And I understand that. Staff was patient and friendly while we decided what to try! Thanks for a great experience! 👍“
