“Went out of our way from New Buffalo to try Vita del Lago, and lucky we did. Fabulous food all around, all 4 of us, well-done, cozy atmosphere and superb service. We were early on Central Time, so the place was mostly empty. The appetizers were on special, 1/2 price for happy hour. The shrimp and calamari appetizer plate was to die for and large enough for dinner. The bruschetta was equally good. Two folks tried the mushroom truffle ravioli, and both rated their dishes excellent. Interesting cocktail menu to boot. We had to try something called 4-Tier Carrot Cake for dessert and that lived up to its billing as well. We have a new fav place.”

“I like the building, decorations are pretty, it has plenty space and seating. I really enjoyed my experience. I got the spicy chick& I added cheese to it. I love spicy food so I also added jalapeños to my sandwich & I also got an order of cheese fries.I absolutely love the cheese and jalapeños combination.I ended up pouring some of that cheese from the fries on my sandwich and I must say. “One of the Mexican places that I've been to in NW Indiana. The menu is large and contains just about everything you could want, the prices are very fair for the very large portion sizes, the chips that you get are very warm and fresh and everything can be summed up in one word AUTHENTIC!”

“Staying at the casino and decided to give Galveston Steakhouse a try. We were seated immediately. The menu and prices are fantastic. They had several specials of the day. We ordered the sampler appetizer it came with fall off the bone ribs, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. For our main course my girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan and I got the ribs and pork chop combo. This honestly was the best food I've eaten in many years. The pork chop was so tender and flavorful, the ribs fall of the bone and melt in your mouth. My girlfriend loved her chicken parmesan. The portions are huge. The dinners came with choice of soup, we got Italian wedding soup, that too was fantastic. It's been 24hrs since we've been there and my mouth is watering thinking about it. “Chickpea is delicious!!! Everything is fantastic! The sumac fries are unique and delicious. My husband has tried the gyros and shawarma, both delicious. I go vegetarian and have tried to bowl and appetizer platter, all delicious. And the orange blossom lemonade is delicious. Totally hospitality there. First time we went, my husband is in a wheelchair and the guy saw us getting out of the car and came and held the door open for us and insisted on doing the same when we came back. Second time back months later, he remembered us. Hard workers. People coming in and out, but not too crowded. Lots of takeout too! Everyone loves this place! “Love this place. They have unique flavors that you can't find most other places. The service is pretty fast even if they have a line. Not to mention, if you don't know what you want you can ask for their opinion or they'll let you look till you figure out what flavor you want. The inside of the place has an old school type vibe to it which is super nice. My son loves the ice cream and so do I. It's our favorite ice cream shop around this area and I highly recommend trying it out if you're in the mood for ice cream”

“Went here for breakfast today. I had Denver omelet it was huge and delicious, I could not finish it so took it home. Wife had pancakes and biscuits and gravy, biscuits and gravy she said were just okay, pancakes were very good, I am not a big fan of pancakes but tried a bite and they were really good...again huge portions so we took the pancakes home with us. Service very good...if an area again, we would come back and try some other dishes.”

“We ate at Social Que for the first time yesterday and I have to say… it was the first time in a long time we left a restaurant that pleased with our meals! We tried the wings with magic sauce as well as the garlic parm and they were both so good, we can’t wait to go back again. We also had the cheesesteak and pulled pork which were both delicious.
