Fries and onion rings were average.Service was prompt but food did take a half hour (didn't seem like there were any food orders ahead of us).Atmosphere was typical for a small town bar but still fairly quiet, for a late Saturday afternoon. “Went here literally 15 minutes before close and 1 ALL STAR MANAGER was on duty working made our experience fantastic! Everything was made to perfection, every ingredient was stocked and perfectly displayed they looked way better than ive seen at any store just fresh and perfect, was beyond great with his up beat attitude and just made the trip worth reviewing.. for a subway... great attitude can make the whole experience that much better. Couldn't ask for better staff and never once mentioned how close to quitting time it was or how specific or large our order was! Will definitely choose this store out of my way over even my local options. 20/10 beyond a 5 star visit!”

“We were heading out of the area and back to South Bend yesterday and I was so thankful for the service we got. My son couldn’t see past the ice cream but the employee (I didn’t get her name but she had red hair) was so patient and helped him figure out what he wanted. Our service was wonderful, the order was given to us exactly as we place it and we felt very welcomed. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. Thanks for making a long day better!”

“I would have gave this McDonalds 5 stars however every time I go there then there is an issue with the slushy machine. Like right now they claim that it is broken down and they are waiting for new parts. Before that it was always something like “I’m sorry we don’t have this flavor right now would you like to try another one” or “we are cleaning this right now so it’s down”! Whatever!!! I’m so over it because it’s always the same excuse! It’s now been at least two weeks since the slushy machine has been down and I’m curious how long it takes to get that part fixed. Other than that the food is good and the fry’s are usually hot.”

“My first visit to this Bistro was an extremely enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, the presentation was the quality of a high-end and exceptional cuisine restaurant, and very affordable. Coupled with large portions, great service from our waiter Jeff, and meeting Chef John. Definitely will dine-in again.”

You get the feeling your at a carnival or theme park with your fam bam the second you walk in and the service was uncanny!! “Best Prime Rib in the area. The portobello mushroom with crab is a delicious way to start the meal. Then select one of their butcher block or seafood options and end with one of several desserts. You can't go wrong ending with the chocolate covered cow. My daughter loves to pick Kelseys as her birthday meal.”

“The salted Carmel cashew protein shake tastes like an actual milkshake. I asked for extra protein and then had to ask if there was actually protein in it. It didn't leave a weird chalky after taste that most protein shakes leave. It was delicious!”

“4pm on a Wednesday my wife and i ate at craft house.I had a bowl of chili, which was very hearty with lots of meat. The flavor was good, but nothing special. My wife had a cup of French onion soup she said it was good. We both had the yellow perch dinner. Our plates were delivered quickly and piled high with thick meaty fillets and side winder fries. All were cooked just right. The side of Cole slaw was very good. We had enough food left over for another meal. Our 2 soups 2 meals and 2 waters $57. We will be back.”

“A great little BBQ place. We had the pork/brisket dinner. It came with 2 sides and a roll. The coleslaw was good, but the potatos with parsley and chives were phenomenal. As was the brisket. Also, there were different bbq saucesto try for the pork...it was a great meal. And atmosphere was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful.”

“Absolutely delicious coffee. Some food options but you come to Dagger Mountain for the delicious coffee and the spacious, bright, airy, well decorated seating area. They always have good background music and it is a very relaxed environment. The regular baristas are always super friendly and greet everyone with a smile. I love this place, I go here almost everyday.”

“Great food! Just strange situation. The 9pm time google has listed is incorrect. Was told when I called in at 8pm that the kitchen is probably closed for a sesame chicken to-go order . The hostess came back and asked if that’s all it would be. I said yes, just that one entree with a side of spinach. Apparently the spinach tipped the scale bc I was told they couldn’t do my order ?”

“This small place off calumet, or old 49, depending on how you remember Valpo, is a gem. It’s really small, so make reservations. The size also means it gets a little loud when it fills up, which it will. The menu is limited, changes weekly, and is delicious. I had a tasty salad and my wife kicked off with a soup she really liked (I can’t remember what she had). Then the main course came. I should point out that they have a butcher shop where you can Wagyu steak by the ounce, but it was $24 an ounce. Unless I could actually speak to the Wagyu cow and discuss Japanese Bovine American relations, it was just too steep for that evening. I did get the non-Wagyu filet, and it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were good too. My bride got the Mahi Mahi, not usually a fish person, and she loved it. We will be going back. I should mention that the service was great. There is Joi Di Vie amongst the staff and it makes The Bait Shop a fun place to go.”

From the first bite, you can tell they use quality ingredients, not just what a distributor pushes their way.The building is well remodeled with a red brick veneer wall, nice furnishings, great lighting, and an outdoor seating area.The staff was very courteous and attentive, even when the Friday rush arrived as we were finishing our meal. Our server was well versed on the meals, their ingredients, prep, and provided helpful recommendations.Our appetizer was the meatballs. Made on site, the meat was flavorful but lean. The sauce made my wife go "wow," and the cheese was fresh and delicious. The appetizer arrived well before the meal, so we could enjoy it without being rushed.My wife ordered a Detroit pizza while I ordered the Johnny Boy sandwich. The waitress immediately asked and recommended ricotta cheese for the pizza, an excellent recommendation. The pizza arrived, well more than 1 person could eat, with a perfect buttery deep pan crust, a great sause, and again cheeses that were definately not from a distributor as they were fresh and with a complex flavor profile not found in something from a restaurant distributor.My Johnny Boy sandwich had thinly sliced meats cooked perfectly. The peppers were also cooked perfectly with a fully cooked flavor in a pepper slice that still was firm without being crunchy. The bread was so distinctive I shared a tear off with my wife, again something deliberately chosen by the chef for its quality. The fries were comparable to those from 5 Guys without being excessively oily.The waitress said the restaurant has been in this location for 4 years, unfortunately we just found it today. A fantastic addition to the Valparaiso food scene.”

“Excellent beer choices, but they do not serve food so either come only thirsty or make a night of it and grab dinner somewhere. Intimate setting and friendly staff. A wide range of beer selections and the flights are perfect to try them all! They also have themed trivia events that are also fun! There was a huge turnout for Friends trivia and I have never seen the place so packed! Out of the way, but a nice treasure trove once you find it!”
