“This was my first time coming here, and I got one of the spring specials, the coconut lavender lemonade. The atmosphere was amazing and there was tons of natural light in the building. The drink was delicious. Overall, I will be back next time I come to Upland.”
“We love going over there. We just don't make it that way often. Great bartenders and some friends. You can go outside on patio or stay in.Kid-friendliness: No kids. It's a bar and their not allowed.Parking: Nit sure if there's places behind there to park and not much about the side. But there's a few places out front to park.”
“Always a positive experience coming 8nto the store. I live in Hartford City and Upland will take your coupons where Hartford City subway won't. So I go here.Parking: Limited spots as subway is inside the gas station.”
“Love their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries! Sad they stopped doing wraps during/after COVID. This isn't Chick-fil-A specifically, but food area it's in, the drink machine is usually out of several drinks. Not sure why they don't keep it refilled better.”
“Kind of a small place but the food is good and the wait time isn't bad. The bread sticks are good and eating for 2 people isn't too expensive. Definitely recommend.”
“Gordon was great, and able to make any kind of request possible. Fast and very friendly. As someone from out of town, this just added to our trip. Thanks Gordon!”
“I'm from out of town and my girlfriend is from England and she said the food was absolutely delicious! I had the fish and chips and it was banging! Black bean dip, out of this world! Lots of really good beers and really good food. Highly recommend”
“I had a delicious BBQ chicken panini for lunch today. It was absolutely delicious and was very filling. I also had a cinnamon sugar cake donut which was very good as well. Everything I have ever ordered has been delicious and the ladies are super friendly!”
“Came here with my family during our reunion weekend and everyone had a wonderful time! Great selection, awesome atmosphere and good prices! So glad something like this exists in Gas City! We’ll be back next year. :)”
“most places you have to order extra toppings in your ice cream, Milkshake, Razzle etc. But, not here. now, I'm not saying this is a bad thing However, my last 2 visits I had to Add Ice Cream to my razzle when I got home. The amount of candy and flavoring was such that you didn't enjoy the "ice Cream". Again, I'm not complaining and I know most People want that. on the Positive note...I still have Sophies for tonight since I added Ice cream to what I bought last night, That's a good things to me ! The Gal's Working didn't see us for a few So, I knocked on the window and they come immediately to help and were very polite and courteous to our needs. Great Job Girls, Thank You, We will return... I pray you will have "Birthday Cake" Ice cream before End of season!”
“Cute place and the service was great but my pulled pork had way too many hard pieces in it….there were so many pieces that I could not eat. The flavor was good but it was not tender or naturally juicy. The sweet barbecue sauce was good. The beans are good but very sweet. The coleslaw is tasty.I would have to go back again to try their pulled pork to see if that happens again but there are so many other BBQ places and other kinds of restaurants that I would want to go to first.”
“The food was amazing. The best tenderloin I've had. My husband had a huge double cheeseburger and said it was great. The fries were crispy just the way I like them.”
“I had an avocado Salad which was very good. A special thing I check for is how thick is the cheese sauce that I get for the chips. It was the perfect consistency and not too spicy.”
“Only have been here a couple of times while passing through but the pizza is good. The dining area is clean and a descent size. The staff is friendly and attentive.”
“The best ice cream around! It's so smooth and delicious! Also we never have a long wait for our food and it's always amazing! Coney fries are my favorite! I love the orange and vanilla twist when they have it. I just wish they had more soft serve available but it's nice to have weekly specials so we have a reason to come and try it!”
“As a foodie, I'm about to write something that I never thought I'd write. If I had to choose one place to eat breakfast for the rest of my life, THIS would be the place!!!I'm from out of town and this is my first time here. Looked like it would be a nice place to visit and it has not disappointed. When you first walk in you feel like your entering another world. A world from the past that made you feel safe and cozy. That ambiance is reflected throughout the establishment. The balcony is where I chose to sit and I'm super happy that I did.I ordered an iced mocha, half order of biscuits and gravy, and the quiche. The ice mocha was very good. The quiche was light and fluffy with a perfectly flaky, delicate crust. The biscuit and gravy was perfectly delightful with a creamy sausage gravy that had just the right mix of sage and pepper with big chunks of sausage. Will I be back? I certainly hope so!!!This place deserves 10 stars!”
“Great food, Jackie is a friendly person who takes your order and brings your food. Only negative is the mean grumpy guy in a red jacket that sits at the entry door.”
“One of my favorite places to eat, and bring my family. There is so much variety in the menu, and different items you can order. The prices are affordable and very family friendly. The owners of this restaurant have always treated us kindly, offer great hospitality, and service. Food is always superb, and overall a great experience.”
“We love the Mississinewa Tavern !! We love the new owners and the life that it’s bringing to our town and community! Recently started working there and love getting to meet and hear stories about the town and families that continue to live here .. Food is always amazing !! Staff is caring and fun ?”
“They actually still come to your car to wait on you...in the winter! The service was excellent. Onion petals and rootbeer were great. I don't actually care for sweet chili, but the hotdog and bun were good. If you like a sweet chili dog with cheese and onion, you will love this place. It looked like they had indoor seating as well.”
“Absolutely LOVED this place!!! The atmosphere was comfortable & relaxing. The Mexican music playing was a softer/relaxing music than what you normally hear in restaurants. It was loud enough to hear but not deafening. I ordered the pollo grande. It's probably one of the best chicken dishes I've had in a very long time. They have a nice & balanced variety & the toriado was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly & helpful. I will most definitely return when in the area”
“This by far the BEST Pizza King I have ever been too. The staff is great. The food is AMAZING and atmosphere is excellent. The half baked bread sticks are our family go to EVERY time!!! They don't overload with the sauce and give you more than enough toppings. However, the price is INSANE. Is the food worth it? Yes, but I personally feel they could be just as successful if not more if they would lower the prices just a little bit. Then more families would be able to enjoy and give them their service as well. But overall very very great!!”
“Best ribeyes in town. Great service and pleasant atmosphere. Staff makes you feel welcomedParking: He has parking right by the depotWheelchair accessibility: He has installed ramps in the front for easier accessibility”
“My brother and I wanted to meet somewhere between Ft Wayne and Indy, to celebrate a birthday. As I filtered "breakfast 4.5+ stars" around the Gas City area, I got quite a few hits, but there was soomthin' about Phil & Cheryl's that caught my attention.Namely, it was all the reviews that mentioned the friendly atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price. We were looking for an unassuming mom & pop diner where we could have a relaxed conversation and enjoy breakfast together. We soon found out that this is definitely a favorite amongst the locals, and in conversing with our waitress, she has been serving here for 40 years and knows everyone by name. Though we were the newcomers, she treated us like old friends. So here you see the spread that we enjoyed: in the foreground is the Chad Omelette, which is 3 eggs and has sausage, onion, and hash browns inside and delicious sausage gravy on top. If it looks gi-normous in the photo, that's because it is, and is delicious. It is served with either white or wheat toast, and jelly. We each got a bowl of grits, which are on the right. You'll notice that these grits are made with yellow cornmeal, which is a departure from what I'm used to, but nonetheless delicious and was served piping hot.In the distance is the Trash Can Panda omelette, which is also humongous and has a variety of meats and bell pepper. At the center of the table are three slices of fried mush which each are about the size of an iphone... much larger serving than I expected. So needless to say, after a nice long chat (our waitress made sure to keep our coffee cups topped off) we waddled out of there quite satisfied.Hats off to the kind folks that run this place! By the way, this is a cash or check restaurant.. they don't take plastic. No problem for us though!”
“Visited Sunday morning had wonderful donut holes and the tiger tail cold coffee it was so sweet and smooth! Very caramel chocolate flavorsWheelchair accessibility: Accessible”
“We stopped in at 11 o'clock in the morning. Great breakfast. I had Papa's breakfast. It was delicious. Almost too much food. For me to eat, I love these Cracker Barrel restaurants”
“The singapore mei fun, shrimp fried rice, and chicken on a stick we got tonight were incredible! Orders are always ready on time and always correct-- and delicious.”
“I grew up with Ivanhoes, and while the building and people have changed, the atmosphere and food are still fantastic! I love coming back home and stopping by Ivanhoes.”
