“We went to Blockheads with a group of 15 for my husband’s birthday! We knew they did not take reservations, so we just put in for two tables. We got drinks at the bar and then went to the heated patio to wait. We decided to ask if we could just eat out there instead of having the two tables inside. They manager agreed and we had the best service ever!! The food and drinks were spectacular! Even with a group of 15, no one had to ever wait on drinks, and all the food came out super quick!! The service team and management went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday so special, and we cannot thank them enough!! We will be back!“
“We got here around 5pn and it eas very crowded...Ordered the chips and dips ( very good but pricey)12 oz steak and meatloaf...we also ordered two drinks each 2 A in N/A ( not bad) Purple Rain (fun to mix) and Osso Branco...It was a good meal and the drinks were great.. For desert we ordered Limoncello Pistachio pie and the Cheesecake Mousse which they forgot to give us utensils for...Look forward to coming back again...I will say it was a little pricey but what isn't these days...“
“It looks like Hunter's doesn't need another five-star review but here goes... I enjoyed my first visit there a few days ago. The rauchbier (smoked beer) was excellent and a rare find, and the red ale, kolsch and lager were good as well. There are many others I haven't tried yet. Bill knows his beer and he pays attention to his guests which is becoming less and less common in a world of corporate microbreweries where your server often doesn't even drink beer and doesn't know a thing about it. The flatbread pizza was just what I needed to go with my drink, and the live entertainment from Beth Niemann went well with both. And they played Cheers on the TV rather than the usual sports. I'd rather look at Shelly Long than at a bunch of guys running around in helmets. I'm glad I chose to stay in Chesterton and visit Hunter's for my beer, and I'll be back.“
“My new favorite! Date night at Cheers for the comedy show was perfect. We got there early and had dinner. The service was excellent from start to finish. Every seat was filled and yet the speedy service never slowed down. The staff all wore a smile and were very attentive and seem to really be enjoying themselves. The vibe was casual and very laidback. The food came out quick and hot and absolutely delicious. The pretzel is a must have! Our drinks were too good to have just one, the beer was the coldest I’ve ever had. Squeaky clean, even the bathrooms were spotless. I can’t wait to go back, my husband said this is our new go to! Great new spot!“
“Excellent beer choices, but they do not serve food so either come only thirsty or make a night of it and grab dinner somewhere. Intimate setting and friendly staff. A wide range of beer selections and the flights are perfect to try them all! They also have themed trivia events that are also fun! There was a huge turnout for Friends trivia and I have never seen the place so packed! Out of the way, but a nice treasure trove once you find it!“
