Great food and atmosphere!
Thank you so much for lunch for the Wichita State University Community Education Day trip to Abilene. We had a great day on Friday, June 23. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town. Great service and the food was wonderful.
I bought a small (mini) homemade peach pie to take home. I love, love peach pies and more so if the crust is done right and boy let me tell you that was the very best peach pie I had had in such a long time, long time! The crust was perfect - flaky crisp and the peaches had just a hint of tart with a whole lot of sweetness - just the right balance! And the gal that helped us was delightful.

Amanda's | Bakery & Bistro is a beautiful place with plenty of culture and love. The bakery feels like being taken care of in someone's home, with a nice warm feeling. It is a small but quaint coffee shop, a mix of bakery, restaurant, museum, and gift shop. Great sandwiches include the roast beef (the real deal, not just deli meat), Tuscan Chicken wrap, Duchess sandwich, and bierock. The chicken pasta salad, French onion soup, avocado toast with poppy seeds, and brownies are also wonderful. The service is excellent and friendly. Though not set up for groups larger than six, a group of nine squeezed two tables together and did not wait long. Come here to feel at home.
