Most of the time we love this place, but we have always eaten in the place. Tonight we did our first and last take out order and if we lived in town, I would have returned our order. Got the 12pack of Tacos. Two of the 12 had lettuce, tomato, cheese and a little meat. The rest only had very little meat and a hint of cheese. so disappointed.
Really good Tex Mex! Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Used to be called Taco Grande and it's as good as the Original!
I retract all previous complaints. There is now more flavor and spice. I love it now

The Original Grande in Abilene offers a delicious selection of Mexican food. The fresh aromas upon entering set the stage for a satisfying meal. The chili cheese nachos, beef soft taco, bean and cheese burrito, and "cinnachips" dessert were all hot and tasty. The burrito, especially, was filled with melted cheese. They also serve horchata alongside tea. The sauces and garnishes at the bar were a nice touch, even though some sauces seemed a bit sweet. Despite this, the red sauce and pico were delicious. The service is friendly, and the portions are generous, providing great value. Overall, The Original Grande is a great choice for a satisfying Mexican dinner with a variety of options.
