“Arrived on a weekend shortly before closing (I know food places love that). I could see the whole counter but there were no donuts. The woman working said they had sold out and were closed. My life flashed before my eyes and I started to tear up. The woman, confused and vaguely afraid, produced a white box from somewhere, indicating it was all she had left. A whole family was approaching, so I said I'd buy them all, sight unseen. Just then the family came in; it was a couple with their beautiful grandchildren, ready to make sweet memories. I got to say "they're closed" and I'm not even the littlest bit sorry. I opened the box in my truck and found half a dozen perfect donuts. I contemplated about my missing husband and grandchildren and began feeding to self soothe. Possibly not the healthiest coping method but definitely the most delicious. This was a victory for singles everywhere, plus I found a fave donut shop. In the words of Michael Scott: it was a win-win-win.“

“LOVED my experience today! I searched Google for donut places en route to my mom's for Christmas breakfast. I wanted 18 assorted donuts and each of 3 cinnamon rolls. I was nervous because many cars were outside. But I waited only 2 minutes before a young lady greeted me. She perfectly filled the box, quickly moving to certain areas or types as I recommended. It was smooth. I was impressed with how everyone in the back was collaborating while at last 3 staff members were filling boxes/ringing people up at the front. When the boxes were filled, the same person who filled my boxes rang me up at a machine literally one step from where she filled the boxes. I paid less than $2 per donut, which is rare these days for this variety of legit donuts. I really, REALLY appreciated that the person who greeted me, took my order, filled my boxes, and rang me up was the same person. As I left, she told me to have a blessed day. That location was such a well-oiled machine that I got to Mom's house 4 minutes earlier than planned.

They say that good service is a thing of the past. If that's true, then I was transported back in time today when I went to Donut King on Armour Blvd in Kansas City. 10/10 Recommend“

“Watch how much they charge you. I purchased 2 dozen and a half and was charged 82.00. Called and talked to owner and they did not make it right. i will NOT come back again. They rip you off.“

“First I want to start off by saying this place has great donuts, they are my favorite and if I can get up in time to get some I do. Also the price is great.

Something I think people need know is an older couple run the whole operation, the husband primary makes the donuts while the wife assists and runs the register. They have a high demand and they run out fast, and because of that people have started calling in to place orders which gets overwhelming for them so sometimes they disconnect the phone. They sleep a short time during the day then get up in the afternoon. All evening into the morning they make donuts for opening (for call in orders and walk ins).

Like I said I do my best to get there early to get what I want but if they don’t have it or they are closed I don’t get upset. I know how hard they work. Worst case scenario, a Lamar donut shop is literally a block over.“

“My son and I started our morning off right when we stopped by this location. Our treats (and my iced latte) were yummy and Sarah was very welcoming and kind. We will definitely be back. Thank you!“

“This reminded me of an old school walk in donut shop. There’s a couple counters of donuts and a nice variety of donuts. There’s glaze was really good, just on the doughy side but not too heavy with the right amount of glaze. Service was great and the other donuts I ordered were also tasty. 7.7/10 stop in and get a dozen.

“We ordered 4 donuts. All of them exceeded expectations. They were warm, fluffy, and sweet. We also ordered coffee. My son accidentally spilled the entire cold brew, and the employee (I think she was the manager) replaced it without question. Customer service was great, and we enjoyed watching them put toppings on the donuts while we waited.
