“a great local place for dinner and local brewed beer. I tried their amber ale which was very tasty. For dinner I had the half grilled chicken salad and agave glazed carrots, carrots were outstanding. It was too much food for a dinner meal, I'm glad I didn't get the full salad portion. My wife had the brewben, (reuben) sandwich with garlic fries, the sandwich was ok and the garlic fries were great! The restaurant is set in 2 old downtown shops, a wall was knocked out for the seating area. They have a wide selection of food and beers, stop here for a tasty meal that won't leave you hungry as you continue your journey!“

I had bubble tea and the Kung Pao Chicken, which I highly recommend if you like spice. You can taste how freshly made the ingredients are. I travel for work and I’m adding this to my “must stop and eat” list.“

“I was there on a busy night without a reservation. Wait was not long at all, staff was very attentive and even offered free dessert for my wait. To my surprise earlier a very nice gentleman had already paid for my dinner. Hays, KS has the nicest people. A big thank you to whomever paid for my meal!!!!“

“The appetizers we're really good. The sushi was really kind of small. I make stuff way better here at home and I have purchased rolls that are bigger at other places. I was quite disappointed with the size and price of the three rolls. The service was adequate yet nothing to write home about.
The place is quite dimly lit for those who might need better lighting. The menu is quite large and some text is hard to read due to the picture in the background. The building and the furnishing inside are older and dated and worn.
Overall it's an okay place, I've had way better.“

“I love going to IHOP in Hays, Kansas. In fact, I make sure to go at least once a week. It has now become my favorite IHOP restaurant because of Daniel. He always greets me and all the guests with great hospitality, respect and he is very attentive to details. He is very service-oriented and knowledgeable about the food they serve at this location even though he is a brand new server. More so, I’ve seen him serve in these capacity consistently among al his customers. Daniel rocks! IHOP should be grateful to have him around, and they better keep him. He works very hard and pay attention to each customer’s needs and orders. I’ve witnessed these whether the restaurant is full or not, and he remains consistent. He always gives a smile to the people he serves even though some of customers treat him poorly, taken advantaged of and feel entitled to do whatever they want in the restaurant. “The Taco Shop is one of our favorites in Hays. We always make it a point to eat there when we'rein town. The food is always great, service is friendly and fast. Chicken nachos are so good, and the tacos are always simple and delicious. Highly recommend for laid back, no fuss, good for everyone spot.“
