“The wife and I were in Overland Park Kansas at a doctor's appointment, we got to talk and thought we would try Christine's Firehouse out for a tenderloin. So we drove to the north and got there, and went inside and was greeted very quickly by the waitress. Told her we were here for that famous tenderloin. We were served in oh my gosh it was huge. It was also very good tasting. The breading was almost perfect not a lot but just enough and very crunchy, the meat inside of the crunchiness was moist and with good flavor. That one Tenderloin was enough for both of us. Also had an order of onion rings, pretty darn tasty 2.“

“Fun local dive bar. No food but they have a few snacks for purchase, sometimes coffee cake next to the free coffee station and a popcorn machine (not always in use). Couple dart boards in the back. a gold game and a gambling card game too on the bar. Covered deck in the back. Not a lot of options for beers, but good specials and fair prices in general. They make their own moonshine, and it is DELICIOUS. Apple Pie and Peach are king (to be fair I didn't try the other 2), peach tastes like fresh peach nectar. Highly recommend.“

A vibe that will make you feel almost at home. Alicia was my bar tender, as she was for many others. I want to give her recognition for her outstanding customer service and attention to detail. “If you know me, you know I love a good dive — and Chez Charlie is it. Hands down my favorite bar in KC and the kind of place that feels like a second home, if your second home had stiff drinks, dim lighting, and a jukebox that slaps.

It’s grungy in the best way, weird in all the right ways, and totally unbothered by the world outside. You can show up solo and feel like you belong, or stumble in with friends and somehow the night just clicks.

The bartenders are cool without the fake smiles, the regulars are characters in the best sense, and there’s not a single inch of this place trying too hard — which is exactly why it works.
