I love the food I went today because I remembered how nice the server was last time and food was great today I went order food to go I was never acknowledged the bartender looked me dead in my face never said a word like I was invisible totally unacceptable even a customer acknowledge I did not get service
Great food. Horrible service - one waitress was cussing and another acted angry that I asked for water. They automatically added 20% for a tip? Nope - not ok, you probably would have gotten more. There are other restaurants in KC that have as good food without assuming their own worth (ie tip).

The Firehouse (formerly Christine's Firehouse) offers good bar food with a neighborhood bar vibe. The wait staff is fantastic and attentive. The pork tenderloin sandwich is huge and very good, with a cartoon size tender. The chicken fried chicken special and famous tenderloins are delicious. The cheese steak sandwich was too salty. Pork fried steak is amazing. Onion rings with ranch are a highlight—the ranch is definitely something to write home about. Portions are huge, food is tasty, and drinks are cold. Live music with great artists and a nice patio for sun or smokers. Service is great even with a loud live band. Easy to find. A good overall place to hang.
