Morningstar's New York Pizza

Seriously good pizza. Perfect crust and outstanding flavor. Fun informal armosphere with great service. Was recommended by the folks and they are correct, best NY style around 👌

Great service, best cream cheese pizza I've ever had and a great house salad. Breadsticks were average but tge knots and dipping sauce was great.

Kudos to Morningstar and the owner, Matt! GrubHub never came to pick up our order. Never would have known there was an issue if Matt hadn't called and told us. He had already called them to inquire, and immediately called us. Another 30+ minutes later and I called the store to see if we cancelled w/ grubhub if we could just pay them. He called for us and cancelled, and THEN met my husband at the edge of town to shorten our drive since we live in Eudora. And gave us two free pizza coupons! Beyond I impressed with service and food was delicious!

My friend and I try to stop at Morningstar Pizza at least once or twice a week after we play Pickleball at SPL. We found out that it changed owners but the quality and taste of their pizza has not suffered. Trent (Morningstar Pizza chef) still creating the best tasting pizza in all of Lawrence! He takes pride in his cooking skills and it shows! Also, Kudos to longtime server (Will) who is a very attentive server and knows how to pour a glass of wine??

Vegetarian options: Their single veggie slice for lunch is by far the best in Lawrence!!!!

NY style pizza is my personal favorite and Morningstar’s is the best in town, which makes ordering very difficult because the California Pasta is extraordinary too and nearly impossible to pass up. The ambiance is chill and cozy and the owners to the entire staff are wonderful. They truly deliver great food with exceptional service. Can’t recommend enough!

This place never disappoints. I usually get a large cheese or large pepperoni. To me that is the true test anywhere I go for pizza, just simple and good.
