“The problem is if you want to go to Happy Hour and want to sit with a group more than 4 you can't. No Happy hour in dining section only the bar area. We had to split up. The food and the staff were really good. It was just inconvenient to split up.“

The only thing that was bad, they wouldn't take my sons coupon for his birthday. It did say not on .holiday, I realize it was Easter Sunday. Again kudos to Karen B. We had an amazing meal from the handcrafted drinks to the mouthwatering steaks and the sides which were so good they could have been a meal on their own. “Excellent old school Steakhouse, where the basement with live music is a time capsul, in a good way. My 3 trips to the Majestic have all been delightful, but this last visit was highlighted by a very talented trio ( piano, drums and bass. The bass player would make Bootsy and Stanley proud!) that made for a very memorable dinner. Food and service is great but the music is lagniappe. Cheers.“
“We came here for a business dinner but the entry to the restaurant was quite interesting. We got seated and place was filling in slowly. We got our drinks n bread and ordered some lovely apps. Baked Escargot and Tuna Tartare for appetizers was a perfect choice. Escargot was buttery and tuna with some Avocado was absolute delicious. Escargot was definitely the highlight of the night. Then we got some salad and French onion soup. My soup was good, nothing extraordinary. For main course, I ordered boneless ribeye with bone marrow butter w/ some spinach n scalloped potatoes. Everything was absolutely perfect, steak was top notch, probably the butter enhanced the flavor. For dessert, ordered the crème brûlée and it was good with perfect amount of sweetness, the berries with cream.What a great meal, don’t forget to try their signature old fashioned with house bourbon.If I am in Des Moines again, will definitely eat here.Parking: Park across the street at 901 and walk across the skywalk.“

“Our dinner tonight was ruined by the poor service begruged to us by Brie who to our misfortune was the bartender/server working this evening. Our food was great. it was very clear to us that "Brie" wasn't interested in our having a pleasant experience this evening. Unfortunately the manager on duty was inclined to share that Brie was overwhelmed by the amount of patrons she was expected to service & that he was sorry for the way we were treated. Truly if we had just been directed by the staff that service was limited at the bar & we might want to sit in the dining area instead....it would have been better for us to choose rather than receive to unfriendly service we got. Go for good food/ good price...hope for better service.“

“This dinner experience was exceptional. Our server, Maxwell, was one of the best servers I have ever had. He was knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend their oysters, you can order them individually or 1/2 & full dozen. I enjoyed the west coast variety. My steak that I ordered was a 16 oz ribeye with blue cheese potatoes and mushroom pan roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal was extremely satisfying. If you’re in the area and your budget allows, I would suggest you treat yourself and enjoy a dining experience here.Parking: There are 2 parking garages but they are not connected to the restaurant, nonetheless, it is a short walk in a quaint village like setting.“
