Joe's KC BBQ Reviews
This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner...read full review
Long lines but worth the wait me and my husband always stop here when we go to KC best barbecue we have eaten and have tried many
Expensive and didn’t get much. More bread than meat. Cole slaw was bland. Don’t see what the hubbub is about. Didn’t even get a chance to finish my meal and the guys already clearing the table. Had to grab my drink back.

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que offers great food with a focus on traditional KC style sauce. The meat is tender and falls off the bone, and the sides, like rice and red beans, are tasty. The restaurant is known for its fast and efficient service, even when busy, with only a short wait despite long lines. Customers often praise the friendly staff, who make guests feel welcome and appreciated. The Rocket Pig sandwich is highly recommended, along with other BBQ meats like burnt ends, brisket, and pulled pork that keep diners returning. The quick service continues during lunch hours, with minimal wait times even when the restaurant is packed. Takeout is easy with nearby parking spots, making it simple to enjoy ribs and other favorites at home. The cleanliness is average, but the overall experience remains enjoyable for BBQ lovers. Recent reviews highlight good brisket, tasty Z-man sandwich with provolone and onion rings, and excellent ribs and fries. The banana pudding is also a highlight. Some note that the potato salad is bland and not as good as other sides, but overall, the food impresses. Visitors from other states, like Illinois, have also enjoyed the ham and brisket, recommending the place for a satisfying meal.
