Go ahead and get a Dozen, at a minimum!! It's well worth it. Share with your coworkers, friends and/or family. Great flavor and texture. The whipped cream cheese the bialy was excellent too. Service was quick and efficient.
I just went there the other day for the first time with some colleagues from work. I actually drive in once a week from Chicago for work and see it when I get off of the expressway every time. I am so impressed by this place! Keep in mind that if you're not used to bagels, the New York style bagels are very big and fluffy and they put a ton of cream cheese on it. Meshuggah Bagels offers delicious bagels and various schmears, including a vegan cream cheese option. Popular choices are the jalapeno, toasted everything, and smoked salmon bagels, as well as the pastrami smoked salmon. The garlic bagel is a standout. The service is commended, although the ambiance may not be the main draw. Meshuggah Bagels is highly recommended for bagel lovers in the Midwest.
The bagels have a bit of a chew but are made fresh. Customers highly recommend the salted filet. The space could benefit from extending and having 2 registers, and a sign that clearly outlines drink choices would be appreciated. Despite a long line, customers are usually able to get in and out within 30 minutes. While there have been a few instances of items being unavailable, the restaurant has been responsive in making it right. Overall, this place is phenomenal, bringing an authentic East Coast bagel experience to the Great Plains.
