I had chicken and waffles, subbed waffles for pancakes. Pancakes are a great size. Tenders were okay, not much seasoning. Service was sub par. The waitress with an extended time without checking on us. I could have used some condiments to better enjoy my meal. By the time she came back I asked for the condiments to go since the food was cold. The atmosphere was very nice. It's a great spot for Brunch. Will return, just will hope to receive better service
We had my husband's 60th birthday celebration in The Brass Room over the weekend. We often frequent the restaurant on Sundays after church because we love the food.
My overall experience was amazing. Cat was wonderful to work with on planning the event and explaining the process. Everything was seemless. The day of the event, we worked with Katie (waitress), Jack (waiter), and Tori (bartender). They were extremely helpful in setting up the room and even offered to help me with decorating. The night was simply magical as the room was very clean, beautiful, and sophisticated.
Our guests are still talking about The Brass Room, the delicious food, and the professional service we received. This was a very special night and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Most of our guests didn't even know The Brass Room existed and have been to the restaurant several times. If you're looking for a classy venue for your special occasion, contact Cat or Tianna at The Brass Onion and reserve The Brass Room. I highly recommend it!
This is a fantastic place to hold an event. We held our rehearsal dinner here. The food was great and the service was timely and pleasant. The venue was very nice and very private with even access to an outdoor patio area.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to anyone holding a similar event.
The wait for our food was 2 hours long, I guess because it was Mother's day. We ended up not having to pay, and our waitress Katie did a good job! We will go back, the food is very good!
Went Mother's day, and even with reservation waited 2+ hours to be served. Only for the food to be rushed, bland, and not correctly portioned. The mac and cheese was more mushrooms than anything. Not worth the wait.
Excellent Wagyu Burger
A great place for dinner or even brunch! Plenty of seating and a very open floor plan. Located in a very cute spot as well. Plenty of things to do if you have to wait for a table. Food was great and so were the drinks. Staff was very nice and knew their menu well. Absolutely recommend this place if you've not been yet!
If you have never eaten at the Brass Onion, please try them out. Love the energy of the waitress and the good was great as well.
This was my 1st time visiting The Brass Onion. Our server Ash was very bubbly and friendly. There was a minor issue with attentive listening. Patron asked to exclude almonds from the salad. Instead, all salad fixings were withheld. This caused more work for her and prep staff by having to go back to get salad toppings. Outside of that, Ash checked on the party regularly and didn't make us feel rushed to leave after eating. The food and drinks were delicious! Pictured: burnt ends very smoky and ver tender) with side salad.
Wonderful atmosphere: clean, modern, and cozy. The service, presentation, and tastes are delightful! Great apps, succulent mains, and scrumptious desserts! You can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and experience yourself!

Great date night at Brass Onion. Seating was as requested, off to the side and quiet. I had a lovely classic martini and chef's featured beef medallions. Service was excellent.
Went here for the first time recently and thought the food and service were so good! We will be back!
It's a super nice place for a date night. The ambience is nice, the waitress was super friendly, although not having a lot of costumers that night, she sometimes took quite some time to check in on us. The food was delicious, but my beef short ribs were a bit on the dry side. Overall it was a nice experience.
Absolutely fantastic food here. Same chef and cooks for 8 years I believe, and it shows. I have been coming here for 8 years since it opened, for lunch, brunch, and dinners and the food is consistently good.
The restaurant is always clean and the staff is great. They did go through a management change a few years ago, but that must have been back of house because nothing changed from a consumer point of view. Great place!
We loved the Happy Hour! My favorite in KC. The burnt ends are super tasty. On par with the best BBQ joint in town The flat bread pizza was excellent. Well drinks were strong! Really great value. They don’t scrimp a bit!
