“We have been going to the Las Vaquitas Mexican Restaurant since Caesar and Connie recruited their family and opened their doors to Derby residents. It’s rare to find a place where the owners are in the kitchen and on the floor making sure every guest feels welcome. The food is incredible and service is professional and friendly. I thought the idea of covering the check of a few of their patrons was a sweet holiday idea. When it happened to us, we were incredibly grateful. “We enjoyed the pickle fries with ranch for starters. Kids had chicken fingers and the Mac n'Chz, both very good. We also had chicken sandwich w/ sweet potato tots, and Philly steak sandwich with onion rings and they are all delicious! Although we live in Winfield, we will be back again for more! each dish was thoughtfully done well with the perfect amount of seasoning. (not too greasy like some places). “My favorite is the Bananas in Pajamas coffee. Might biggest complaint is there isn't a location at the north end of Derby. If you opened one up by Culvers you would probably see a lot more business. Thats the biggest reason I dont get it often. Its to far out of my way and to long of a line wait. Consider a Northern Derby location please. :)”

“My family and I were looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine that was open on Sundays after church, and we found our new spot! Casa Martinez absolutely blew us away! The portions were huge — the kind of generous plates that make you feel like you’re getting every bit of your money’s worth. The service was just as impressive: fast, friendly, and super attentive. The street tacos were incredible, and the grilled chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Their white blanco queso deserves its own award — creamy, rich, and dangerously addictive. And the chips and salsa? So good. The regular salsa is delicious, but the heated hot salsa takes it to another level. 🔥 And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get better… we were surprised with free sopapillas at the end. “Our waitress was a girl named Ashlyn, who did an awesome job of waiting on me and my friend, the manager on duty was Lily, who came over and checked on me twice, just to make sure everything was great and I'm telling you, I know, I've heard some bad things. And I've heard some good things about this place just depends on what time of the day you catch them and how busy they are, but my food was extremely wonderfully cooked with love, everything that we ordered was just right. They could've done a better job if I'd gone in the kitchen and did it myself kudos to the crew at Morgan's

Of course i had the filet with a baked potato and honey glazed carrots, and our appetizer was the Bang bang shrimp, and it was Bang bang. Let me tell you, the food was awesome. The appetizer was even better, thank you a very satisfied customer.”
