“Egg yolks came out soft boiled. I asked for runny yolks. The hostess apologized, took my plate and 15 minutes later returned with a better result. Thank you. Typically this location is a 5 of 5. It's ok to send something back to get the proper product as requested. No offense meant or taken.“
“Went here for breakfast today and I was really surprised. I never want IHOP and never crave it but had been recently. So I went with my mom during the week and not only was our meal delicious, but our server was fantastic. Our server was attentive, quick, and did an excellent job. The food took a little longer to be ready then we expected considering how slow the restaurant was, so that would be our only minor complaint. The food itself was definitely worth the wait, as we went with the strawberry cheesecake waffle combo. The waffle was crispy and fluffy. The eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns were also cooked perfectly. I have been going to this specific IHOP since I was younger but it had been a long time since I visited here. So overall, I was pleasantly surprised with our meal and would definitely come back soon,“
“Met a friend who happened to be passing through town. What better place to meet for conversation and a fantastic breakfast. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere, plenty of good coffee, and if you can’t find a breakfast you like, you’re way too picky or have very poor taste. Breakfast options are massive. Plenty of menu items to eat healthy. A wide variety of side options; my favorite are the buttered grits…..just like my grandma used to make. And did I mention the coffee is bottomless and good?“
“Been wanting to come here for years. I worked on Metcalf and drove by every day. I was always on my to, or from work. Now I'm retired and go to breakfast 2-3 times a week. I had the Country Scramble. My friend had the Cowboy Omlete. Both were delicious. Atmosphere was quiet, quaint. Service could not have been any better. The coffee never ran dry. I'll be back again next week. Good job, Sante Fe Cafe!!!“
“I want to share my family's experience at Big Biscuit Olathe on Tuesday, 3/19/24.My dad has Alzheimer's, and we recently moved him into full time care in Olathe. It's been an adjustment. My sister was in town from Colorado, and we decided to check Dad out for a few hours for brunch. We never know how public experiences will go. Sometimes Dad responds well. Others he gets agitated or overwhelmed. Sometimes servers and other patrons don't know quite how to respond to him. We all just kind of wanted, for an hour or so, to pretend that everything was normal, that we were just another family going out for a meal. This is where Matt comes in. Matt was our server, and he literally made our entire day. I may just be getting old, but Matt looked about 17. He was thin as a rail. He had glasses and a mullet. I won't lie, when he first walked up, I kinda steeled myself. Sometimes younger folk don't have the life experience to deal with older folk. Particularly when the older folk tell you the same joke over and over again or get confused by your questions. But I needn't have worried.Matt started out by introducing himself and making friendly banter. He quickly picked up on the fact that we aren't the type of family to stand too firmly on strict propriety, and seemed to let his hair down a little bit more. Now, my mom typically orders for my dad, as he can get overwhelmed by the options. So, most servers just sort of ignore Dad and talk directly to Mom. Not Matt. He started jokingly asking my dad directly what he wanted, if he was okay, and to "blink twice" if he needed to be rescued. Dad's sense of humor is very intact and laughter has always been a coping mechanism for us. It worked beautifully.Throughout the meal, Matt was delightfully and teasingly irreverent, but never inappropriately so. It's three days later, and I'm still grinning at the memory.Thank you so much, Matt! You made that outing something we'll talk about for a long time. We needed that badly.“
“First of all this place is amazing! Cute place, very clean, and I love the decor. Our waitress Elizabeth is amazing! Could not have asked for better service. Everyone was very polite and courteous. Even the bathroom was spotless! The Farmhouse breakfast tacos are soooooo tasty! I DEFINITELY will be back and recommend this place 100%.“
“Good service! Clean,Sharp environment. The breakfast burrito with the chipotle cream sauce is very well prepared & delicious! Dezlmax.com will highly recommend these locations. Chiefs nation and all transportation specialists! Tracy the server a very kind sweet lady & very knowledgeable about the menu.“
“Fantastic little place. Had the chicken fried chicken and got an extra egg and coffee. Coffee was the best I've ever had, my 3 eggs looked more like 4 or 5, and everything was delicious. I was waiting on an oil change, so I stayed for about 2 hours, but they were super courteous and made sure my coffee stayed full. I made sure to take care of my waitress too.“
“Waffle House makes a great, basic breakfast. They are always efficient and friendly. Sometimes they could be a little cleaner, but it’s one of my favorite places for a decent, inexpensive breakfast in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of an earlier, simpler time.“
“blueberry pancakes from ginger sues are my new kryptonite...that blueberry compote was amazing!! i also paired it with the gravy scramble which was a great balance for sweet and savory....i seriously stuffed myself with that pancake though lol. service was great, he let me know his recommendations on the scramble which I always appreciate. great pricing as well!“
“This isn't a waffle house, it's a waffle HOME. Darlene was so comforting and hospitable it was like going home to yours moms for a meal. Such a delight and she served me delicious grits, ive never had them before!. Absolutely wonderful service and food. Can't wait to come back !“
“The place was packed and we had to wait a minute for clean tables. The MANAGER came out to clean tables and sweep the floor under both tables. We were quickly waited on by a friendly and efficient waitress. There were 6 women working this shift and all were in top form. Even the 2 cooks were women and that was a new thing to see at WH. The food arrived cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. This is one of the best WH in the area with one of the best teams I've seen working. Great teamwork ladies! You all did a remarkable job handling a full house like pros. You are all hard workers and should be commended AND rewarded accordingly. I'll be back to your WH, for sure.“
“The food was very good. Their pancakes are some of the best in the KC area. The service was great once I was seated but no employees were around when I first arrived. The music was a little loud when I arrived but the volume went down later. I recommend giving this a try for breakfast.“
“It was a bit busy but organized well so the wait was minimum. Staff was multitasking very well. Food was good as always. We both got the country fried steak. Also got to see 5 birds on the building that look like gray owls. Very beautiful birds.“
“It is a great but also basic breakfast place, it is a little harder if you are trying to eat healthy at all though. I went with a ham steak, but it was very greasy. Service was great and quick. They were able to hold our reservation for about 10 minutes also.“
