My husband & I came to Council Grove just to visit the Trail Days Cafe & Museum. We were greeted by the most wonderful host. I had read about it on Facebook, and knew it was staffed by volunteers. We had delicious cake and soup, but then we were served with the most amazing trip down Kansas History. We toured the house and has a wonderful German Lunch. The homemade brats were delicious! The owner was a great wealth of information about the house and the city of Council Grove. He was born and raised in the area. Definitely worth a stop if in the area

My friend Ann and I stopped here for lunch while visiting Council Grove. What an experience this was! Ken was our chef, waiter and historian. We had a wonderful meal - I had the English meal and Ann had the Italian. While we ate, Ken told us stories about the home and the area. He knows his history. He is a retired attorney and judge.
