The only food options are a variety of bagels with different kinds of sweet or savory spreads. The drinks are the stars of the show there - I've never had one I didn't like. A little pricey, but a lot of the drink components are made in-house so you're getting quality ingredients and complexity of flavor. A real gem of Lawrence, if you ask me!”

“I was actually expecting a simple tavern when I came into town to perform this past Friday. Once inside though, the venue had a night club vibe to it. Still intimate, but more upscale than a regular bar. The layout is nice and clean. Plus the downstairs room is pretty cool and isolated to the point where 2 separate events can be held simultaneously. Bottom line is, Elmo's is a nice spot with good vibes and staff. Can't wait to return in a couple of months. Thanks for a good time.”

“Not your typical express pizza stop . Believe me guys these people do it with their heart. Freshness all the way. They’ll make you a custom order for small or large pizzas and like other express pizza stops they don’t let old shit sit on the hot shelf , they keep replacing if anything sits to fresh one.”

“I took a chance on the Lucky Garden for catering a party for 80+ in DeSoto, and I am glad that I did! Charles, the manager, was a delight to work with. He gave solid opinions and did a good job estimating our food needs for a group that size. The food was HOT and tasty! The Teriyaki Chicken and Crab Rangoon were delicious! The General Tso's Chicken and Lo Mein were also a hit. The Lucky Garden met also our needs for gluten-free meals (Chicken & Veg and Singapore Rice Noodles), which was a big plus. Charles worked back and forth with me to make sure that we had enough food and that we were within my budget. When my manager requested an item we hadn't considered, he went back and reworked his estimate to make sure we could make it work. We compromised on delivery, and I picked up the meal, but he did a great job estimating what it would take to get the food delivered (two vans) and brought out all 24 pans of food himself. Charles, also followed up to make sure that event went well, which was a nice extra touch. I would be happy to work with him and the Lucky Garden again, given the opportunity.”
