“I recently had the pleasure of dining at akoya Omakase, and it was one of those rare restaurant experiences that reminds you how special thoughtful hospitality and craftsmanship can be.
From the moment the meal began, it was clear that every dish was created with intention. The level of detail and care that goes into each course is remarkable—every bite felt deliberate, balanced, and beautifully composed. You can truly see and taste the thoughtfulness behind the menu, from the way ingredients are paired to the precision in preparation and presentation.
What stood out most to me was how much pride the team takes in their work. The experience feels personal rather than transactional, and that level of care is something you don’t encounter everywhere.
Akoya Omakase isn’t just serving sushi; they’re creating an experience built on respect for ingredients, technique, and guests. It’s the kind of place where passion is obvious in every course.

“Jun’s is hands down the best sushi in the city, maybe the world. We love to visit the sushi bar on quiet week nights when it’s less busy and just let the chef serve whatever he wants to! We love the beautiful presentation and amazing fish and trying all the cool things they come up with. We’ve been enjoying Jun’s for over ten years and have always had amazing experiences.“

“This place is reliably good. I have been there dozens of times and the experience is always the same. The food is amazing and the service is always wonderful. This is my favorite sushi place in all of KC. My go to items are the crab Rangoon and the Kokoro Maki sushi roll.“

“Hands down my favorite tonkatsu ramen in KC. The made from scratch broth is absolutely delicious. Never disappoints. My husband and son say it’s as good as the best ramen they’ve eaten in Japan. It’s that kind broth I especially crave when feeling under the weather. The seating is small but always very clean and parking is easy as they have their own lot.“

“Lauren was such a fantastic server! She was very attentive, kind, and asked the kitchen on several occasions about modifications for dietary restrictions. The Lychee cocktail was delicious! Really enjoyed the entrees and sashimi dishes we ordered. Would recommend the banana/marshmallow desert. Amazing!“

“I’ve been here about a dozen times and I get the same thing every time, the Shanghai udon, and it is my new comfort food. It is so, so good. The sauce on it is absolutely divine. I want to try more menu items but the udon is so good I keep coming back to it“

“Best sushi I have found in all of KC, went to some recommended spots that were expensive, tiny portions, lack flavor and rice that was mush, always end up back at Me. Le's, I would eat here more but they take time off between lunch and dinner and my mid shift job has lunch at 2pm.“
