Wow. Delectable and divine. Super worth it !!
I’ll be honest—I was a little nervous going into Akoya Omakase. I had never done any kind of Omakase experience before, and just looking at the menu was honestly a little intimidating. I wasn’t sure what to expect or if it would be something I would enjoy.
After experiencing it, I can confidently say: **if you like sushi, you will LOVE this place.**

Sorry I didn’t take any pictures but the food was too damn good for me to focus on anything else!

Akoya Omakase is a delightful sushi spot tucked away in the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City. The space is cute, clean, and refined, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is never pretentious. The omakase dinner service is exceptional, with creative and well-balanced flavor combinations featuring outstandingly fresh fish and unique takes on traditional ingredients. While perhaps not the most traditional, the experience is truly fantastic and exceeds expectations.
The service is excellent, with a friendly, attentive, and passionate team that provides a welcoming and accommodating experience. The presentation of the food is also excellent. The chef and team are genuine and talented, clearly putting great thought and care into sourcing and tailoring each visit. Overall, the vibe of the place is awesome with good vibes. Though it is a significant expenditure, guests consistently find it well worth every penny. For those visiting, there is plenty of street parking available nearby.
