“My husband and I were traveling this evening with our dog and didn’t want fast food. We noticed this place had outdoor dining and we took a chance, asked and they allowed us to eat outside with our puppy. The gentleman who waited on us was so kind and all our food was amazing. I didn’t realize until after we left at 9:15-9:20 that they actually closed at 9pm and I felt horrible about that. Please check this place out, so good!”

The lady who took my order told me that if I didn’t like the drinks that I ordered she could remake something else I might would like instead as they are new and still trying to get the measurements right with the recipes but there was no need, they were so good! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed! 🫶🏼”

Slim Chickens has officially become my go-to spot for cheat day — except it barely feels like cheating because the food is just that fresh and high-quality. Sure, I load up on the calories (because how could you not?), but the ingredients are clean, the portions are generous, and I never walk away feeling gross or regretful.

Let’s talk sauce: their signature sauce, buffalo, and hot options are straight-up addictive. I could dunk pretty much anything in them and be happy — fries, tenders, napkins, whatever. And the mac and cheese? Easily some of the best in the area, and trust me, this town doesn’t play around when it comes to mac and cheese.

Service is always solid, food comes out hot, and I leave full and satisfied every time. If you haven’t tried Slim’s yet, you’re missing out. Cheat day or not, it hits every time.”

We ordered a salad & bake potato for sides, very large salad and fresh & Potatoes was great! Our waiter went out of his way to see everything was great. “This location has been improving everytime I've visited since it opened. I usually go for the original white bread but this time I tried the whole grain bread. It was great. Not a whole wheat bread but whole grain. I recommend mixing it up and giving it a try. Hope they keep this option.”

“this review is for the new Rexburg location in Mother hibbards have stopped in there four times within the last week to try the food and they never have anything in the warmer. no pizzas nothing. I went in there tonight. no food in the warmer. the kids that work there are sitting on the floor up against the wall doing absolutely nothing. Do they only serve Pizza at lunch and zero food for dinner? there's nothing anywhere that says what times they have food what time? they don't have food so tonight I went from hangar 54 right over to Valley wide and got me a personal pizza and now I'm headed to work.”

Definitely worth trying to figure out the safety hazard of a main driveway trying to get into the place (don't be too shy to pass it and come back if it gets confusing -- it's not well designed in terms of traffic and safety)

“The only thing I’m mad about is that I haven’t been here before! What a gem of a place, located right in the heart of thriving downtown Ashland! The interior is so comfortable, open, and inviting. They have a nice coffee bar (which I didn’t utilize this visit), a well-stocked freezer case with treats to take home, and of course the main counter. I and my friend were greeted warmly by a worker who was both knowledgeable and personable. She was patient and helped guide me into picking a perfect treat for myself. The frozen custard was delicious, and I love the wide variety of add-ins and toppings. Can’t wait for my next trip back to try…everything!”

Of course I wasn’t happy and down to the wire with time. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to the store manager who was quick to make everything right and find a quick solution.”

They do clean up after you leave but you have to order at the counter and then find a seat when you find a seat. Your table is still dirty. You have to clean the table before you can even sit down. Our order was only about halfway right? And if we hadn't been in a little bit of a hurry I would have had them fix it. I feel sorry for this location. I don't see it being open much longer”

Inside and drive through (we prefer walk in) the workers have always been really nice and helpful, and we’ve gotten our food very fast as well. I know reviews are mixed on this location, but we typically go in afternoon/early evening time.”
