“Robert has turned the dreary old Bob Evans into an attractive, homey and comfortable eatery. I was told to get the pork tenderloin, which I did, it was very tender, but not especially hot and not nearly as large as I thought it would be. The service was very good, except that dirty dishes were never picked up. That seems to be a common practice in the Evansville area, that dirty dishes are left on the table for the duration. Reason?“

“Some of the best food in the TriState area. Rotating specials offer something for everyone. However, in addition to great food, they have my mother's favorite waitress/server on the planet! Allison Moore is amazing at making you feel welcome and cared about. She goes above and beyond in her job performance and is accommodating and accurate with dine in as well as carryout orders. She keeps us coming back time after time. Do yourself a favor and not just dine at Hometown Roots but ask that Allison Moore is your server.“
