“we wanted to get out of Evansville and try something new this place has a great view of the Ohio River outdoor seating also available the pizza was great we also tried the cheesy bacon fries great service great atmosphere can't wait to come back and try the strombolis and onion rings!!”

“Some of the best food in the TriState area. Rotating specials offer something for everyone. However, in addition to great food, they have my mother's favorite waitress/server on the planet! Allison Moore is amazing at making you feel welcome and cared about. She goes above and beyond in her job performance and is accommodating and accurate with dine in as well as carryout orders. She keeps us coming back time after time. Do yourself a favor and not just dine at Hometown Roots but ask that Allison Moore is your server.”

“We are traveling and stopped here for lunch. Personally the best BBQ I’ve had! Sauces are delicious and it’s nice how they run the service! Fast and efficient! Highly recommend! My husband is specific on his BBQ and he even loved it!”

“My first experience with this place and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was hot and fresh and delicious! The young lady taking my order was super nice and helpful. The crab Rangoon was outstanding, my general tso chicken was so good. I also got fried rice, a spring roll and some fried donuts. The rice was a bit lacking but still tasty, also the spring roll was very peppery. All and all I will definitely be making another trip back and highly recommend you give this place a try!”

“Came for our anniversary tonight! Had reservations, walked right in to get seated, Had a bit of wait for our food due to a bigger party, no biggie. Had an issue with both of our meals but they were quick to fix them and offer solutions to make it better. Our server Bryce was PHENOMENAL, he made the entire experience amazing and was on top of everything the entire night, despite being busy with Saturday night crowd!”

“Stopped by after seeing them, looking for new food to try in the area. Food was fantastic, I got the trappin chicken sandwich with a side of fries and a trappin quesadilla with fries for my fiance. The portions don't disappoint and it definitely took my taste buds on a ride! Food was made fresh and had the best flavor from any food I've not made myself. Give them a try when you see them out and about you won't be disappointed. I'm going to make this a permanent food stop on my list.”

“I was in Henderson, Ky for an Elk’s Hoop Shoot and was lucky to be able to taste the Frothy Monkey Coffee Roasters Brand…. DELISH ! Probably best coffee shop coffee I have had… Bold, smooth and no after bite. Stop in ROAST COFFEE BAR … I will be making a drive from Louisville, Ky to sample the many items in their shop. Looking forward to their canned Cold Brew! 5 ⭐️ plus”

“This was my wife and I’s first visit-we will definitely be back. It was a packed house on a Saturday night with live music, but the staff was very attentive to everyone’s needs and they hustled all night. Food was well prepared and an excellent value for the price. The view of the river with the sun going down was amazing. Many thanks to the crew at On Deck for an awesome evening-we will be back!”

“Wow, just WOW. What to say about this place. It really doesn’t matter what you order, it’s all amazing. On this occasion, I grabbed a couple of their sampler platters (for me and my dad) to-go. I got the chip, ribs, and pork, along with potato salad, slaw, and of course, their legendary baked beans. My dad looked over at me in mid-bite during my chip session and said, “Yep, I told you!” Needless to say, my fam and I are huge fans.”

“This gentleman is a 1 of a kind, he is very mannered, (important), he is very friendly and so professional, we have small chat every time I'm there, and I dont do chat, hes from Texas and is proud of what hes built. The food the is awesome, not 1 thing have I ordered was without proper taste, the hot food is hot not heat lamp warm. He treats each customer as if they were his only customer. I havent gotten the pleasure of meeting anyone else in there but if he treats his staff like he treats his food and customers, I'm quite sure they are happier than a puppy in a smoked bbq bone yard!”

“Their service is GREAT! And the food is some of the best Asian food I’ve ever had. Lomein is probably the best I’ve had anywhere. Sushi is always on par too. And their hibachi never disappoints for the price especially. Would recommend to anyone looking for good food in henderson!”

“We've always had fantastic service when going here. Our personal favorite is the superman ice cream, or the cake pops! Chai tea is pretty on point as well. Thank you for being a wonderful part of Henderson!”

“This is a cute drive up outdoor restaurant that has a few tables and a drive thru. We ordered a tenderloin basket and a chicken tender basket along with the Brownie Mountain for desert. Our tenderloin sandwich was almost as big as the large styrofoam box it came in and was nice and juicy; it was not dry or overcooked. The chicken tenders were crispy and may not be the best we’ve had but on the topside of the better ones we’ve had, especially for a faster food kind of restaurant. The French fries were really good and perfectly salted. The ice cream came with long handled spoons that let us get all of the goodies out of the cup. There was a good ratio of goodies to ice cream. The ice cream was the perfect size to share. The only downside of this place is they don’t do soda refills which my husband likes when he eats fried food. Food was reasonably priced and the employees were really friendly. Overall if we are in the neighborhood we will stop here again.”

“We usually like Fazolis, however we stopped yesterday to try the subs. Me and my husband got the Italian sub. $10 a piece. We got home and tried to eat them but they were so spicy we couldn’t. We both like spicy. But for one it didn’t say it was spicy, and for 2 it was entirely too spicy. They should advertise if it’s spicy! My daughter got the club, and it only had meat and cheese on it. That’s not what the picture showed. Waste of $30!!! Do better!!!”

“First time here deliver bulk load of rice meal was a little confusing as to where to go. In the evening you scale yourself in at the office bld. Then pull ahead off the scales and turn left. Go behind the buildings and make a right at the concrete barriers to make a loop around the parked trailers and then drive back to the front entrance near the guard shack. The bulk shed is next to the blue silos. Then rescale to get empty weight. Nice place to unload.”

“Kelsey G's has been around since I was a kid and has always been a solid, reliable choice in town. It’s one of those places that’s just consistently there when you want something good without overthinking it.

The strombolis are easily the highlight—loaded, flavorful, and always hit the spot. They’re also one of the few places around here where you can still get a taco pizza, which is a big plus and something you don’t see everywhere anymore.

It’s family-owned and operated, and that local feel comes through. You can tell they care about their food and the people coming in. I’m usually not a fan of cracker crust pizza, but they actually do it pretty well here—crispy without being too dry or overdone.

Overall, it’s not trying to be anything fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s just a dependable local spot that’s been doing its thing for years, and it’s definitely worth stopping in if you’re in Henderson.”

“After walking into the Washington Ave, Evansville Indiana location and being disappointed and grossed out, I decided to stop at Henderson, Kentucky location while was out running errands.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The tables, the condiment station, everything!

The staff was friendly and efficient. I had my food right away. I've never experienced that at the Evansville locations. The condiment station was stocked neatly. Again, something that I almost never experience in Evansville.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Henderson Taco John's. I think this location is going to be my go-to when I'm craving some Taco John's.”
