“We were visiting from out of town and got takeout here for an easy meal. Food was delicious, fairly priced and portioned, and fresh. The people were very friendly, sent a text when the food was ready (which was quick!) and even included doughnuts and a scroll style wall calendar which is super cool! Would 110% recommend this place and will definitely be back next time we’re in Lexington!“

“The experience is refreshingly all the way from the decor, lighting, awesome staff, seat placement, and culinary entree, starter and spirits that have that zing. Take out or dining in, the quality is in tune and takes me back to some traveling memories of the food I would encounter with fresh ingredient and love for their craft. “The host was unorganized and care free about the notes in our reservation and sat us somewhere we specifically did not request. Ordered alcohol drink and there was a bug in it. Our server was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The food was yummy as always“

“This is my favorite local Chinese place. My family has ordered from here about once a month for the last few years and it never disappoints. :)

The staff are always really nice. The single time they forgot something from our order, they sent another delivery with an extra soda, which was a nice surprise.

Their noodles are especially good! You should get an extra side order to have for lunch tomorrow. :)“

“I came here for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. My meal was very hot and the fried rice is full of flavor. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants good Asian food.“

“It's been quite a while since i have had this restaurant's food so I can't really give an honest opinion on that, but what I do remember of it is that it was good. The restaurant itself is rather small. The service had been, and is still really fast and on point! No problems ever ! I love good fast take out place! With this China King, that's what you get. ENJOY!

“I ordered the golden spareribs with fried rice, shrimp shumai and an egg roll.
The spareribs were delicious, wonderfully seasoned and crispy. Very good flavor. They are a bit difficult to eat as they contain small bones and can be chewy with cartilage type texture in some pieces.
The shumai are fried and were fantastic, especially with the sweet chili sauce.
The eggroll was very good too.
I was not a fan of the fried rice. Overall the food was quite tasty and I would purchase it again.“

“The food was so good and the owner (or someone who I thought was the owner) was so nice. I ordered takeout using the phone and when I picked it up, an elderly man was there, greeted me with a smile, and was very pleasant.

I ordered the beef chow fun and will order it again and again. The portion amount was perfect.“

“I live in the Hamburg area of Lexington, KY. Shanghai Bistro is not far from where I live and I eat there 1-2 times a week. I order the same meal every time: fried rice, broccoli and spring roll. I never wait long for my meal to arrive.The food is fresh and consistently excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed. I don’t feel rushed to eat and leave. I highly recommend trying Shanghai Bistro. “They are very friendly and accommodate requests. As many Chinese restaurants cook for the American, the food can be sweet and not very spicy. But if you put in comments, less sweet/more heat, they will do it! One of the better Chinese restaurants on our side of town.“

“First things first: Cheng’s is a wonderful restaurant with a gig-delivery OR customer pick up model and no seating for diners. We prefer to pick ours up which gives us a couple of minutes to enjoy the fragrances wafting out of their kitchen. The food is well prepared, fresh, and well packaged for the drive home. The counter service is polite and efficient. The parking is easy (they also have a drive-through pick up window). If you go pick up a paper menu to make ordering easier the second time. FYI, the five stars for atmosphere is because the waiting area is comfortable, clean and smells delicious.“
