“Was gifted this experience from family and now I feel outdone. My husband and I were able to create a bourbon we both loved, and got to take home! Sydney was an excellent mixologist who was knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend!!“

“We had an amazing experience at Michter’s. The tour was informative, well-paced, and full of great stories and insight into their process. The tasting was excellent, and we decided to add on the bottling experience — highly recommend planning for that if you’re visiting. It was a really memorable way to round out the day.

The staff was what truly set the visit apart. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. It made the whole experience feel relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable.

We finished with cocktails at the bar, which were fantastic.

Overall, we left with an even deeper appreciation for the whiskey and the people behind it. If you’re considering a visit, absolutely go — and book the bottling experience while you’re at it.“

“The angels blessed us with Matt as our tour guide. The best tour guide we could ask for! He had the best jokes and attitude. The distillery is amazing! Love the history and facilities. We also had rocking bartenders in the Finishing Room. Great folks all around, and a must visit while in Louisville! Hope I hit exactly 51% of corniness.“

“Our server, Abby, was terrific. Our bartender, Mike, is best in class and makes perfect recommendations. The chef, Jeremy, makes the best shrimp and grits I've had. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. Jeremy talked with us after the kitchen closed and was really charming. If you live in or visit Louisville and don't eat here, you're missing something special.“

“This is the first time my partner and I have been to Louisville and we decided to stop by Meta. If you too decide to stop by you'll be met with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The bartenders were so chill and willing to work with us to get our drinks just how we'd like them. Nataleigh and Khryss were super awesome and made my partner and I feel so welcome! “This was such a great spot - Anthony was the secret ingredient to the experience. He was a delight to chat with and set the standard for the service level - that said, the berry salad with salmon was tasty! The way the salmon was cooked paired perfectly and the portion was just right. I also adored having coffee in tea cups, it felt so elegant and posh. I will go back.“

“We loooooove the Silver Dollar!! We're so happy that our favorite neighborhood restaurant has reopened. We are looking forward to trying all of their new menu items. My dog & I enjoy sitting out back on their cute patio & my son is addicted to the Chicken & Waffles. I'd highly recommend Silver Dollar to anyone who wants to refine their bourbon palate. “We decided to try out the restaurant and I am so very happy we did. The mood is very relaxed and comfortable with large comfy chairs and even areas with couches for seating. Our server, Adam, was truly amazing and made us feel welcome and like a priority. We had a couple of the specialty cocktails and they were divine. The addition of the monogrammed large ice cubes was a great touch. The bread. The bread comes to the table with a tallow candle and lemon juice on the plate. It was truly delicious. All of us raved about our meals. The topper was dessert. The manager, Tim, let us know that the last piece of our first choice was not up to their standards. This is amazing. I love that the restaurant is keeping their food standards so high. Our second choice was still remarkable. This is definitely on my list for anyone wanting a great experience from food to ambiance to service.“

I hit the jackpot with expert bartender CC, who took my request for a custom whiskey flight as a challenge and knocked it out of the park with three choices setup in the perfect order. She knew the story behind each one and quickly looked up some additional details on her phone when she wasn't sure. The bar is clean and spacious and full of light. Whiskies are arranged by family for easy identification. She described a "Black Manhattan" that sounded delicious, but I'll have to try that next time. Proof on Main makes the perfect place to treat your taste buds while waiting for a distillery tour. Slainte!“
