We had the breakfast buffet (weekends only) They had scrambled eggs, sausage egg casserole, sausage links, Pattie’s, bacon(but not crisp, only complaint) gravy and biscuits, hash brown casserole, Fried Apples, blueberry pancakes, pecan pancakes, watermelon, melon, grapes, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries. Homemade awesome Cinn rolls, fruit Danish. It was all real good. Pancakes and Cinn Roll great! Think it was one of the best Cinn rolls I ever had. I almost didn’t get one cause I didn’t expect it to be that good. We will be back! $12.99 Plus drink”

“Salt Risen Bread & Donuts! Just walking in the door was wonderful. The aromas of freshly made bread, doughnuts, pastries & pies lifted my mood. I came for the salt risen bread as it is hard to find. The folks there were friendly & knowledgeable. They even suggested Melton’s Deli for a good lunch spot. I look forward to stopping in again soon.”

“Boogie Knights isn’t just a bar—it’s the place in Danville.

My wife and I keep coming back because there’s nothing else within at least a couple hours that compares. Justin is one of the most talented bartenders and mixologists I’ve ever come across. His quarterly rotating cocktail menu is on another level—he takes classic cocktails, breaks them down, and rebuilds them into something completely original. Every drink feels intentional, creative, and dialed in.

And it’s not just cocktails. The beer and wine selection is excellent across the board.

Then there’s the food. Lee is behind it all, and the weekly specials are something we genuinely look forward to. This isn’t typical pub food—this is what pub food should be when it’s reimagined and refined by people who truly care about what they’re creating. Every dish feels thoughtful, unique, and worth showing up for.

The atmosphere seals it. Boogie Knights somehow balances laid-back, welcoming vibes with a quirky, irreverent personality. The velvet paintings alone are worth the visit—equal parts hilarious and oddly perfect—and there’s always something good playing on the projector.

Places like this don’t come around often. Justin, Lee, and their team have built something special, and Danville is better for it. If you live here, you should be a regular. If you’re passing through, make the stop.”

“Today was the first time I’d been back in my hometown in Harrodsburg to see an old friend. The food was great as always but the service was not good. We got there about 7:45 and around 8 there was a massive group of ball players and family’s came in. I understand that they got slammed and didn’t have enough help but we waited over an hour to have refills I ended up going in and asking for our waiter to come out cause we wanted to go orders and drinks another 10 mins goes by and nothing we decided to just leave with paying for what we had got. I hope next time is a better experience.”

And we had the opportunity to meet the owners, Tim and Erin, and could see in that short visit time, that their love for their community in which they have immersed themselves, is the driving force behind why they do business there. They live the people in Wilmore, just like we do in our own little café, Downtown D’Lites, in Kilgore, Texas! Our experience with lunch yesterday and then breakfast today, and even meeting my brother Dave, who is also on a road trip from Oklahoma, was a great stop on the way to our New Jersey destination!”

“Went there for the first time for breakfast. Food was alright but be careful about allergies. When I asked for there to be no dairy contact the lady cooking said that would be impossible because her griddle and spatula stay covered in butter. Luckily another lady (missy maybe) stepped in and said she could make my breakfast sandwich on a separate skillet for which I was grateful and thankful.”

“If you want authentic and excellent Mexican food, go to Las margaritas. If you happen to have a disability, such as deafness or anything, go to Las Margaritas instead of Los Roderos. You will be served without being mocked, insulted, or otherwise mistreated. Las Margaritas has wonderful people, tip them well because they certainly deserve it. Tell your friends and family, this is a grade AAA locl restaurant.”

“The wife and I stopped here after a local distillery tour. Wanting something on the light side, we choose Murrini Cafe. She got the club and I, the chicken salad. What a treat! Service was fantastic, we were both full, but managed to also have a slice of lemon blueberry cake and a chocolate chip cookie. Phenomenal. Highly recommend.”
