50 Best Pizza Restaurants near Burlington

“Donato's is a popular pizza chain in this area that I often forget about because there's no locations here in Indiana (not in Lawrenceburg/Aurora anyway.) The few times I've had it I remembered liking it so I ran over to this location and got a pickup order. I'm not sure if they're offering inside dining yet as I ordered mine ahead of time and got it through a drive thru window they had. The order was ready when I got there and the staff that I dealt with were friendly. The food was still hot even after a 30 minute drive home so yay for that. I got the Ultimate 4 Cheese Pizza on their famous thin crust. They did indeed put a lot of cheese on there and it was pretty good. Although I'm a big fan of thin crust pizza I thought there's was almost too thin and brittle making it very cardboard like. Even if you wanted to do the New York thing and fold it over and eat it as a pizza wrap you couldn't do it because the crust would break. I like the toppings and I remember especially liking their sausage in the past (I was just in the mood for a lot of cheese on this day) so next time I'll get a little thicker crust that'll better support their great toppings. My wife and kids got the Chicken Spinach Mozzarella Pizza on their cauliflower crust and they all liked that very much. My wife needs to eat gluten-free and said that this crust was one of the best out there. There's a lot to like about Donato's and in the future I will check out the hoagies, sides, and other pizza options. For me this was good except their super thin crust which may just be a personal preference thing.“

“Great restaurant. We we're greeted and seated immediately. Everything about this pizzaria is top notch. The pizza is probably the best we've had in the area and the prices very fair considering the high quality of the food. Atmosphere was very warm as the staff. Free parking is plentiful and close for anyone that has a handicap restriction. Enjoy!!!“

“Strong's has really good pizza. I'm a pepperoni topping fan and they do it right, even though it's not a primary menu item.

Some things to consider:

1. The $7.50 mozarella sticks were a disappointment. The advertised photo lead me to believe they were jumbo sized. I don't think it's intentionally misleading but be aware that they're no different in size than frozen mozarella sticks from the grocery store. I felt the same about the taste as well.

2. The online ordering system automatically selects a 20% tip and adds two service fees: I was charged a $0.75 fee and a $0.25 fee. So if you're in a hurry and clicking through the checkout process you'll probably miss that 20% tip like I did. I don't fault Strong's; I believe it's the ordering platform they're using that does this. My recommendation is to call Strong's and place the order via phone instead to avoid this.

3. I live 15 minutes away and every time I pickup and drive home, the pizza is fairly cold by the time I get home. I order from other take-out pizza shops in the Union and Walton area and Strong's is the only one that is somewhat cold by the time I get home. Perhaps they don't keep the to-go orders on a heated tray? Regardless it's still worth it and we enjoy it.

This is one of my top pizza places in the Union/Walton area.

Parking: There is no parking lot access from the Rt 42 entrance to that business plaza. However, you can park next to their parking lot and walk across the 15' landscaping to get to the restaurant.“

“My wife and I stopped in after a football game for a late supper. As I love wings, I asked the server how theirs were and she sang their praises. Ordered them and I will say they did not disappoint. “I ordered from Door Dash first time ever. My door dasher picked my $50 order up and then canceled the order and “fed his family”. Door dash refunded me but the owner is having to fight for a refund, he will get it but my first experience with door dash will be my last. They were not very apologetic and didn’t seem to be surprised at this behavior from a driver. I called the store and wanted them to make the order again and said I’ll pay for it as I will get a refund. The manager was so kind and took care of us. I insisted on paying again for the full order and he would not accept full payment and only wanted a partial payment. The kindness of the store goes beyond what they had to do since currently they are shorted out of the food and it’s not payed for. I will be back for their delicious crispy crust pizza and my daughter had her first hoagie and loved it! Thanks NYPD!!! Thanks for making right what you didn’t have to do for Door Dash. “This is a carry out and probably a delivery as well. No tables. However, from the South we love real food with real taste. The price is reasonable for the quality of service and food they prepare. I chose a hand toss pie 3 topping. Evenly spread and the as always when it's real its stringy. Would I go there again? Yeah!!! “Very good pizza, pasta, salad & deserts!! Price is a fairly good value, $9.99 for the buffet for adults, $10.99 if you want a drink. The buffet was kept stocked & fresh, service was very friendly & welcoming, there is some games to play, sort of like Chuckee Cheese's games or Mr. Gatti's, however there are no prizes or toys to win or exchange tickets for. Bathrooms & restaurant was very clean & well kept. Highly recommend this place!!

“Not sure of the name of our server this afternoon, but, she is an amazing person! Traveling from Gatlinburg to northern Indiana, decided to stop in and get some pizza. “We stopped by Poseidon’s Pizza on a Sunday afternoon while we were in the area and were surprised to find out they are delivery and carry-out only. The staff was very friendly and helped guide us through the menu, which we appreciated.

This one star is solely for the Management of West Side. I’ve been here more times than I can count, from random drop ins for a beer, organized network happy hours to birthday parties. My family invested in the original start up back in the day. They were one of my first places to check out when throwing my mom’s surprise 60th Birthday party. The booking process was fairly simple.. I would have appreciated more communication from management when booking but in today’s world I have very low expectations with customer service.
Day of the party came and I booked 3 extra hours for time to set up and make sure the space was ready. I made sure to introduce myself to all the staff from the kitchen manager, bar tenders (they were good) and taproom manager. Everyone was aware I was the organizer of the event and to reach out to me during for anything.
Party was great! My mom was surprised and it seemed like everyone was very comfortable in the two rooms we rented ($30/hr for 2 rooms from 4-11). I reached back out to the taproom manager for my $100 deposit back & received the unprofessional response attached. I did realize once we arrived at the party that my balloons had confetti inside of them which confetti is not permitted. Balloons are permitted though so unless we went around popping all of them there was no issue in my eyes. I did immediately asked for a broom so I could manage any mess during the party (which there wasn’t). I stayed after with my husband, mother (birthday girl), dad, and cousins to clean everything up spotless.

The second issue was around our guests eating food from the party next to us. This was one couple (65 years old) that got confused & didn’t realize this was not our party. We took over 80% of the party space so it wasn’t clear to them that there was even another party nearby not a part of us.
The fact that no one from west side even brought this to my attention is ridiculous. I would have happily apologized to the other party and purchased food for them to make up for what had happened.
From start to finish Colin at West Side has not been helpful and has been extremely rude. I feel like I need to blame the kitchen staff as well for not communicating at all.

Sadly I would not recommend West Side for any future events. They didn’t feel welcoming and seemed bothered by the 3 children there (out by 9PM) that were very well behaved & enjoying themselves.

The 30+ Cincinnati Firefighter brotherhood that attended is also disappointed to hear how this was handled and won’t be having any future meet ups here.“
