“I ordered the beef rendang on DoorDash, as I'm Indonesian and from Maryland but just moved to Cincy from Myrtle Beach (absolutely no diversity there). It was sweet, spicy, and tender; almost exactly like how my mom would make it. Thank you for a wonderful and refreshing meal to remind me of home, especially as Ramadan is approaching. Absolutely delicious!I do wish the portion size was bigger. Maybe it's because when my mom would cook it, I could keep coming back for more, but it did seem like a bit of a smaller portion for $14.“

“We were traveling from Louisville KY to home in Akron Ohio. We were craving some bbq! We found Beards and Belly and went to check it out. We were so happy we did! Food was AMAZING!! Their recipe for greens, potato salad and pickle salad were the best we’ve ever had!! BBQ was AMAZING! Brisket, pork belly and sausage! It was definitely finger licking good!! “Very informal restaurant -order at the counter and take food to table. Food was simple, but excellent. Not a lot of food options, but what we did get was VERY good. Ribs and brisket were both excellent. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Many people getting take-out. In warmer weather we would have considered taking the food to a larger outside area.“
“Really delicious bbq and side dishes! We had the ribs, bbq pork sandwiches, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, cornbread, baked beans, and macaroni n cheese. We dined in the outdoor seating area. It was heated and comfortable. Large picnic style table seating. Overall, it was a great experience.“
“I have been staying at The Phelps for business. I frequently get in late, and quite frankly do not feel like going out. The Phelps Bar is the perfect solution. I have been staying at The Phelps Hotel on and off for roughly a month so far. I have had most of their menu items and have yet to have one that has not been excellent. They recently changed their food and drink menu, so there are many new items to try. They have an outstanding "Signature Drink" Menu. My favorite is the Fig & Rosemary Old Fashioned that is hands down the very best Old Fashioned I have had anywhere, and that includes The Greenbrier Resort. The staff are all amazing and help to make the experience even better. My hat is off to Mark (I think he is the manager), Kat and Tynisa who run the bar, and David the cook. If you find yourself in the Downtown Cincinnati area close to the stadiums, then you really should try The Phelps Bar. You will not be disappointed.“

“Husband and I was out to dinner at a near by place that had a 35-45 minute wait so we decided to go here to get an appetizer to pass the time. That appetizer turned into 2 meals. We first ordered a side of beans and a pulled pork sandwich, while at the counter we asked to sample the potato salad. We did eventually order a side of potato salad. The food was fresh well seasoned and absolutely delicious!! We went back and ordered a sandwich that had 4 different meats and another side order of beans ( those 2 items totaled $25). The sandwich was enough to share. The prices were a bit high but the quality didn’t disappoint. I would have loved a bigger portion but who wouldn’t have when it’s so enjoyable!!! Definitely will be back definitely will recommend to others definitely didn’t miss the other place we were suppose to go too!! Restaurant was clean and the one bbq sauce they do have is so magnificent they don’t need another option in my opinion! Looking forward to trying all the sides!!! Job well done Harmon, please invent a loyalty program! I would love to earn points towards extra food and a birthday surprise!!“

They were on time, had all the food packaged nicely, set it up for me, and brought amazing food! Everyone raved about it. All the food heated up nicely for leftovers! Fan fave!“

“We just had a meal at this restaurant. We’ve been here a few times and it’s usually really good every time we go. That tells you there’s great management. I had the salmon today and my husband had a ribeye and let me tell you what every single thing we ordered was perfect. It was cooked perfect. It tasted perfect. It was an amazing meal. Good job guys.“
