“My husband and I moved to Henderson a couple of years ago from Detroit, and ever since, we’ve been a little disappointed in the variety of food options here — especially when it comes to sushi. We really missed having a solid, go-to sushi spot. A couple of months ago, we finally tried Crust and Roll. I’ll be honest — we were hesitant at first. Sushi in a small Kentucky town? And in a small building outside of town that’s not much to look at? We weren’t sure what to expect. But let me tell you — we were completely wrong. This place has better sushi than anywhere we’ve tried in Henderson, Evansville, or Owensboro. The quality is incredible, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The variety on the menu is impressive, too. We originally went just for sushi, but decided to try the pizza — and it was exceptional. Now when my husband wants pizza and I want sushi, we can both get exactly what we’re craving. 10/10 recommend!”

“Some of the best food in the TriState area. Rotating specials offer something for everyone. However, in addition to great food, they have my mother's favorite waitress/server on the planet! Allison Moore is amazing at making you feel welcome and cared about. She goes above and beyond in her job performance and is accommodating and accurate with dine in as well as carryout orders. She keeps us coming back time after time. Do yourself a favor and not just dine at Hometown Roots but ask that Allison Moore is your server.”

“They took care of Thanksgiving dinner for me with ham,baked beans, Mac and cheese. Sometimes my family can be a bit picky but this food was a big hit. Not a doubt that we will use Chef What again. Do t hesitate to try them out. You will love it”

“Incredible experience while in Henderson for a songwriters festival. My wife had their homemade ginger ale which was outstanding and I had a maple iced latte which was equally incredible. The young lady who assisted me gave me great direction when I explained what flavor I was looking for and was spot on. We also had a cookie that was freshly made that was also very tasty. My only regret is I live 3 hours away and can’t go back tomorrow!”

“This was my wife and I’s first visit-we will definitely be back. It was a packed house on a Saturday night with live music, but the staff was very attentive to everyone’s needs and they hustled all night. Food was well prepared and an excellent value for the price. The view of the river with the sun going down was amazing. Many thanks to the crew at On Deck for an awesome evening-we will be back!”

“I was in Henderson, Ky for an Elk’s Hoop Shoot and was lucky to be able to taste the Frothy Monkey Coffee Roasters Brand…. DELISH ! Probably best coffee shop coffee I have had… Bold, smooth and no after bite. Stop in ROAST COFFEE BAR … I will be making a drive from Louisville, Ky to sample the many items in their shop. “This gentleman is a 1 of a kind, he is very mannered, (important), he is very friendly and so professional, we have small chat every time I'm there, and I dont do chat, hes from Texas and is proud of what hes built. The food the is awesome, not 1 thing have I ordered was without proper taste, the hot food is hot not heat lamp warm. He treats each customer as if they were his only customer. I havent gotten the pleasure of meeting anyone else in there but if he treats his staff like he treats his food and customers, I'm quite sure they are happier than a puppy in a smoked bbq bone yard!”

“We went there today again and it was amazing. They have the best catfish filets you will ever eat and coleslaw, potato salad and bbq beans. We eat in the bar and Rachel is great. We bring home mutton all the time and sometimes the bbq ham and it’s always so good. You can’t go wrong with this place. The wings are also really good double dipped.”

“Wow, just WOW. What to say about this place. It really doesn’t matter what you order, it’s all amazing. On this occasion, I grabbed a couple of their sampler platters (for me and my dad) to-go. I got the chip, ribs, and pork, along with potato salad, slaw, and of course, their legendary baked beans. My dad looked over at me in mid-bite during my chip session and said, “Yep, I told you!” Needless to say, my fam and I are huge fans.”
