“The food well...but the service was awesome and so was the look and feel of the place..I just figured for the price the food would have been well fantastic but none the less all around it's a good place to ”
“Service slow on more than one occasion, food is worth wait though! Just wish they could somehow bring the brisket back or perhaps Boston butt!?:)If it's cold outside, u will likely want to keep ur coat on inside also!!;)Kid-friendliness: Is definitely kid friendly.Parking: Is an old school building, so plenty of parking.”
“Most of my reviews are not so serious but this restaurant deserves a good review! The family who took the reigns of this Edmonton establishment have done an amazing job at bringing up the quality while still being as nice as the previous owners.I enjoy that the sugar level isn't through the roof like most other buffets. For instance the bonuts aren't covered in sugar just dusted.I have only interacted with the young lady running the register. Her parents should be proud! Very nice to everyone in my family and we definitely noticed. My wife has had Interactions with other staff and she says the same genuine personality holds true throughout. My wife likes the fried fish here very much while I like the house lo mein noodles. Egg rolls are above average as are the corn nuggets. Never had a menu item we didn't enjoy to be honest.I haven't dined in since the new owners arrived but I haven't personally heard any complaints from my neighbors.I am unsure if they offer a traditional menu but if they do I would like to try. That being said I am not sure if enough people exist in the area to have that option. Never hurts to ask I suppose. If I am not mistaken the new owners took over slightly before the lockdown. During the lockdown they took precautions to make sure the food they sold pick up only was safe. Regardless of your personal opinions about COVID they went above and beyond playing by the rules thrust upon them. Nobody knew for certain what was and wasn't going to happen but they remained accessible to our community and we can't forget that. I can't speak for the county but I am glad they are a part of our community.Wheelchair accessibility: The entry is ground level but the door is not automatic. Adequate space between the curb stones for ingress/egress of mobility devices of all kinds. The buffet is a standard height and I cannot remember 100% if the wash room has a wide stall and secure bar but I believe it does. Chairs are not affixed to the table and the lanes to the buffet are wide enough.”
“We came in just before closing time; my husband drives a big rig so this was within walking distance of where we parked for the evening. The two young folks who took care of us were very polite when they greeted us and the service was fantastic. The store was clean and the food looked and tasted delicious!”
“Really tasty food. Advice: eat in. For some reason every time we get take out the portions are super skimpy compared to the eat in portions. Meat lovers burrito is tasty good!Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in out entrance is close to the parking area.”
“First and not to be disregarded the women working hard here are very friendly, prompt service, coffee refilled often. This seems like a trucking route stop, saw a few semis pull in. The place looks like it’s missing the gas pumps and convenient store. Cafeteria style tables and seats but I didn’t go there for a morning overlooking the bay, heh. The parking lot was kind of packed but only three parties were seated, but still plenty of parking to be had. The food was ok, very no frills, menu without prices turned out to be rather expensive considering. $5.50 for a side of 2 small French toasts I had coffee and ma’s little breakfast bill came to $17, $20 with tip. Could have had a full grilled steak lunch at Applebees for that just about. They have a hunts brothers franchise there, probably a more frugally optimal choice. (Luv me some hunts bros) The coffee was decent, the bathroom pretty clean. I would say I wouldn’t go back there too often but the girls were home town friendly and so it’s a good coffee stop venue imho. I’ll add pics next visit hopefully when I take the wife.”
“The only reason the atmosphere isnt 5 stars is due to my own social anxieties.Kid-friendliness: I have never seen a frown on a small child due to food or atmosphere either inside or outside of this little piece of pie in all my 29 years of residence in metcalfe county!Parking: 20”
“Quaint little restaurant that offers homemade meals at reasonable prices. Have ate here multiple times and the food is always hot and made fresh. Worth the drive if you like home cooked meals. Check their FB page for daily menu deals.”
“I love this little country restaurant! It's like going to your favorite Aunt's house for dinner. Their menu items are all homemade and delicious. Friendly staff and VERY reasonable prices. My favorites are Momma T's blackened 1/2 chicken and her beef Manhattan. Great food!”
“This place is great! Consistent great tasting, home cooked food. Love the country ham, fish, potatoes, slaw, tomatoes, sweet tea... We've had a considerable wait in the past, but got straight in with absolutely no wait this last trip. Can't wait to go back!”
“They utilized the old school for a restaurant to make extra money. Very retro, with red seats on the chairs and benches. Good was good, name was clever. If go back.”
