Shogun Bistro is a hidden gem with amazing food and friendly, helpful staff. Despite some past reputation issues, recent visits have been satisfying. The hibachi grill is a hit with kids, especially with the hilarious and entertaining hibachi cook who makes sure dietary restrictions like shrimp allergies are handled carefully. Families love tossing eggs and rice with the kids—it’s fun for everyone. The sushi is excellent, and portions are very generous, often requiring a to-go box. However, the miso soup lacks tofu and the potstickers sometimes arrive cold. Service can be slow due to understaffing, and prices feel expensive for some dishes like the pork katsu with its unusual sauce. Still, Shogun Bistro remains recommended for those willing to enjoy a great meal with a welcoming atmosphere.
