Creating the menu and working around specific food allergies was incredibly easy. The food and staff were outstanding. I would 100% recommend them and use them again.“

We went with the Southwestern Bowl Bar, and it was a huge hit—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Several guests came up to me afterward, eager to know where the food was from. They provide meals for Empower Learn Create, Inc, a high quality early childhood education agency near the University of Cincinnati's campus. We have a number of dietary needs and special requests that are accommodated and honored. DC Catering is responsive to our needs, communicative and professional. “Lothers catered our wedding a few weeks ago and they were wonderful throughout the entire process. From the tasting, to the communication, to the service the day of, everything went so smoothly and was fantastic. Beth was great to work with, and was so quick to get back to me with any questions that I had. We had two buffet attendants the day of who were so wonderful, they went above and beyond for us and even made a plate of food for our bartender, who is a close friend of ours. He was so appreciative and got Lothers’ information from me for future events at his bar. Since our wedding, we have heard over and over again how great the food was, several people even saying that it was some of the best food they’ve ever had. Lothers was absolutely amazing, and we’re so glad that we picked them for our wedding day.“

“I have heard so many great things, and seen all the mouth watering pictures, that I finally had to give it a try. The black raspberry chip cannoli was amazing, the shell was nice and had a good crunch. The Italian rainbow cookies were so good, the kids were fighting me for more of them! Highly recommend, and will definitely be back to try more, and of course get more of the Italian rainbow cookies!“

“Our wedding reception was a dream thanks to Tessie, Tiffany, Aaron, and the whole staff from McHale’s at The Grand Ballroom. From our first meeting, Tessie helped guide us every step of the way and provided honest feedback. Their tools and resources really helped bring our vision to life, and our guests could not stop raving at all the beautiful details. And the FOOD! My goodness, when I say yum, I mean YUM!! We had a few guests with dietary restrictions and they were more than happy to accommodate!! Even after the big day, they were so kind and helpful in arranging pickup with our parents while we were honeymooning. I can’t thank the team enough!!“
“i would love to recommend them, but for some reason it seems they don't want my business. I have several emails from an email that comes up for a Mr. Mark James, but is signed by a Tracey. The last time we hired the company was in 2000 for my 1st wedding and we owned the building so, there wasn't any issue as to which caterers we used. Now, we are trying to book a venue that will allow us to have this company cater and when I asked what venues they work with the only responses I have been able to get is "we are not booking weddings for 2023." so...“

“I've never heard so many people say that this was the best food they've had at a wedding ever! The prime rib was hand carved for each guest. The main course sides were salivating, well presented, and served hot & fresh! The cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were raved about. We were given the opportunity to do a tasting prior to the wedding and received great recommendations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“Pros• Get to see and experience different part of the country for free (housing, travel, meals are provided)• Pay is good, and you are eligible for a nice bonus at the end of summer• Great dietetics experience - able to work with 1-2 RDs and handle many different cases of food allergies and intolerances• Learn to work with a diverse group of people and in a team (many international students on the team) - this is great to talk about in a job interview• Your ability to handle stressful situations under pressure greatly improves• You become more confident with your kitchen skills and knowledgeable about proper food handling practicesCons• Long hours (~50-60 per week) on your feet mostly, but you get breaks for meals and rest• You have to quickly learn on the job, but you will always be placed with experienced people who can help• Can be placed in a remote location for campMORAL OF THE STORY - Yes it's a difficult job and can be tiring, but it's extremely rewarding serving kids and it's only for 3 months of your life - you're going to make it. It is an invaluable experience where you will learn a lot about yourself: how you work in a team, your communication skills, your grit, whether you like the food industry or want to continue pursuing dietetics, etc. Regardless, you won't ever regret doing something challenging and I promise you'll learn something.“

“25/10 recommend for anyone, but especially as a couple. Date night can get so mundane and this switched it up so much. It allowed for us disconnect, talk and learn something new together as well as meet new people! The instructors and staff were incredible too. But the best part of the whole class is the only part they don’t tell you about, the cookies. We will definitely be back!“
