“Being intrigued by this dish for a while. As an Italian in New England who naturally loves spaghetti and visited chili known states such as TX and many other southern states, this never made sense to me. However, after having this concoction called "Cincinnati Chili" it immediately reminded me of what comfort food is. Cincinnati chili is extremely different than southern as it has a sweet hint to it. The seasonings remind me of what goes in Tourtiere AKA French meat pie...there are seasonings in this chili such as Allspice, glove and cinnamon and you won't find beans, chunks of beef and heat in this. However, interestingly enough, it pairs well over spaghetti topped with an obscene amount of skinny shreds of cheddar cheese which I notice goes on top of many foods in this region. Once you tried Cincinnati chili, it's not about liking it over traditional chili as they are in completely different categories on their own. I did enjoy it! As for the service, the workers were exceptionally attentive and you could tell they liked their job!“

No where you find yourself in the Queen City.Personally, noodles are my least favorite delivery method for chili to taste buds. But, icons existing for a reason. “Five Guys is a well regarded burger chain and this is its location on Mall Road in Florence. I had to get a carryout on this occasion although indoor dining options were available at the time I went here albeit at a limited capacity. They're a very traditional, no frills joint in that they do burgers and fries and not a ton else (they do have delicious hot dogs although I didn't get one this time.) Any burgers are their game and theirs are definitely one of the best. Although they a very extensive toppings list fkr you to choose from to put on your burger I went with only ketchup, mustard, cheese, and hot sauce. The meat is very high quality and is where all of the flavour is at. Juicy and cooked to absolute perfection it was the perfect patty. The condiments I chose supported it very well including the hot sauce which tasted like Frank's Red Hot or at least something very similar to that. It was fantastic. Unfortunately with my long trip between Five Guys and my house my fries ended up being soggy and disappointing. That's by no means their fault and I'll say right here that their fries are some of the best and most plentiful but you gotta eat them at the restaurant while their still hot. In any case the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient so a very good carryout experience from Five Guys in Florence.“

“It was hopping when I was there today: families with children, college kids, a whole cross-section of society. This is a smaller store but they moved quickly and staff were friendly. Had my requisite 5-way. Skyline is still the best chili in Cincinnati! Help the digestion by taking a walk down the Gaslight District on Ludlow or Burnet Woods across the street“

“Pretty solid place to drink and eat, with perhaps a few kinks to work out. A minor situation beyond the establishment's control broke out while I was there, and staff handled it very well. My biggest complaints were that the hard seltzers were flat and the kitchen seemed to be out of a lot of things. Still, I would go back, and when I do I'll adjust my rating accordingly.“

“Always love Skyline. Was very happy they took over for Gold Star at CVG. You can’t beat a breakfast chilito. I’ve been to the airport location several times, it never disappoints. The only thing I think that could make it better would be a beer with it because it’s at the airport.. but I know that’s not a realistic expectation because none of their locations sell alcohol. BUT, You can grab a “to-go” drink at the whisky place right next to it and sit at one of the food court tables and enjoy it with your Skyline.“

“The owner is a great man who loves the Lord, and taught me the power of scriptures & having a foundation of scriptures in our hearts. The restaurant business is tough & It requires a great team to accomplish great service. Its almost impossible these days to find trusted reliable People. “I had to try this place because , for one thing , I like the name . The three-way I had was tasty and satisfying . It is a meaty chili and I would stop by there often if I lived downtown 😁. UPDATE : I also had cheese coneys , which I didn't eat till the next day , and I found those coneys to be as good as any cheese coneys I have had in the greater Cincinnati area . Two thumbs up 👍👍“

“I mean... It's Skyline Chili. If you live near one you already know the deal. This one does have particularly great staff that have never let me down in the last 10 years of this being my most local one.

For anyone not familiar with Cincinnati chili, is more of a sauce than a standalone meal. Food selection is mostly chili dogs, spaghetti, fries, with a few salad options and wraps.

Is it a 5 star meal? No. This is Cincinnati comfort food. But in terms of the quality of all the above grading points they have never done me wrong.“

“I'm giving this a 4 because I feel a little conflicted about this chili. I only visited this restaurant because my son insisted on trying it. I grew up in the south and for us chili was a hot hearty bowl of beans and beef not chili sauce with a little beef and spaghetti. So of course I can't say I enjoyed it very much but my son did so I split the baby and gave it a 4 star. The service in the drive thru was faster than most fast foods and the lady at the window was helpful and smiling. What more could you ask for. So while this chili was "not my cup of tea" the food was hot and my family enjoyed it.
