One of my friends joked around with the waitress and she ended up being one of the nicest and funniest people I've seen at a Skyline. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but I had a great time. “For sure one of the better hotdog places around if you’ve never had it, make sure you try it whenever you get around especially when you are in Ohio they sell a can of it at like Walmart and it is nowhere near as good as the actual restaurant if I don’t get the restaurant, I just don’t get it I like the restaurants food way more and then the stuff you can buy at Walmart“

“Our first time there. Driving across Ohio and had to try this famous Cincinnati staple. We sat at the bar. Hard young workers and friendly team. If I were to offer one little tip - the chili should be steaming hot. Ours was ok but not as hot (temperature wise) in my opinion. Very clean store! We’ll be back for sure.“

“First off the service was top-notch. The food was great but the portion size was small compared to other locations. The Chili sandwiches had tons of cheese but hardly no Chili! I was very disappointed, it was like a cheese sandwich. The new burritos were very disappointing. The nachos were very good. Overall four stars.“

Kitchen right out in the open so you know there aren't any tricks, waitress comes to your table and lets you know what's up, menu as a simple as any, so there's no confusion on what it's about. “It had been many years since we had been to the Root Beer Stand so it was high time to come back. It had grown a fair amount since our last visit which was great to see. The place was really busy but they really are streamlined well and there was not a long wait time. There is a bit of indoor seating but a vast majority of the seating is at picnic tables outside around the area. Everything looked great all around the grounds although you must remember you are outside and there are a fair amount of bees around so beware of that. I had a footlong chili dog and fries which were excellent especially the chili dog. Also had to have a root beer float which was legendary as usual as their locally sourced root beer really is delicious. This is definitely an awesome place to go on a summer day for sure and it gets my highest recommendation.“

“Now I don't normally rate chain restaurants. When I do I often make a joke and say it's fine it's a Wendy's or a McDonald's. But I have to give this one a special shout out. I was out on an all day biking adventure. But the time I reached this Skyline I was starting and thirsty. I had run out of water a long time ago. But there was something special about this one. My server her name was Paige. She was extremely kind and patient with me. And supplied me with enough cold water for me to quench my thirst. Now because I was on a long bike ride on a very hot day I did not want a belly full of chili. So I opted for the buffalo chicken salad. And it was amazing. The chicken was well cooked and the hot sauce on the chicken hit the spot. But I had to give a special shout out to Paige who was very kind and very helpful to the whole thing. A great experience at a Cincinnati staple with a wonderful server.“

“My husband went through the drive thru pretty close to the time they close and placed an order when he got home we realized 2 of the coneys we ordered were not in the bag so I called to let them know and the manager I believe answered and asked if I wanted to come back that night or be mailed coupons I decided to go back since the order was for my hungry children lol but anyway he was the sweetest I had ever dealt with in fast food I felt bad because they close at 10 and I knew I would get there after that time but he told me to come anyway and that he would be more than happy to stay a little later for me when I got there around 10:15 not only did I get the 2 we paid for but he gave me 2 extra plus a piece of blueberry cheeses which was very good by the way and also a $10 gift certificate he was absolutely wonderful wish I would’ve gotten his name but anyway he was there (6/23/26) closing time so if whomever is over him sees this just know he’s the best!!“

“One of my favorite skyline locations! Our server was so sweet to us and really took great care of us. Can’t remember her name but we were pretty hungry after a day at Kings Island and she was very patient and attentive! We live out in Anderson but chose this location to eat because the food is better and the service is the best!!“

“I was in Cincinnati for a convention. So I had to try authentic skyline chili and had the 4-way. Spaghetti beans, cheese and of course their signature chili. For me it was worth it. I enjoyed it and now I am a fan of Cincinnati chili. The staff were friendly and attentive, and that made it an even better visit.“

You can never go wrong with choosing skyline. Within the past two years the menu options have changed and there's a good variety to choose from.

Josh (I believe the manager) greets every person with a friendly welcome.
Cullen was a great server. He listened closely to all the needs and wants at my table. He is great at his job!“

“Great place, great food, wait staff recognizes my group and has no problem remembering our choices. I only didn't give this a perfect score as sometimes it gets very busy and they seem to have trouble with managing the extended area during those periods. Still kinda miss the old building but this was a definitely welcome and needed upgrade!“
