“This place is a gem! I'm glad I found one of my favorite places to get food and a drink. I had the hamburger which was simple and delicious. Had just the right seasoning and toppings. I also had to get a small order of the sesame noodles. Those noddles are a must. If I was bold enough I probably would have gone to the kitchen and shook the cook/ chef hand. The service was outstanding. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. I loved that the menu was small. I will definitely be going back to try some more of this simple and delicious food.“
“Gordos in the hole in the wall burger spot that you didn't know you needed. With thick, unique, and tasty burgers. Thick cut fries come standard. There are so many great burger combos to try, but you need to try either the GFat or the simple PBJ. Across their menu you'll find other sneaky good options like the tacos or the pear salad, but the burgers are the core of why you seek out Gordos. Service can be a little slow, especially when it gets busy, but you can often find this place to be fairly open unless it's a Xavier game day. Helpful to know: Park to the left side of the building in the odd looking lot. The right side of the building parking is owned by a different building/business. On nice days, see if you can sit in the back patio. It's a little oasis from the noisy of Norwoods main drag.“
“Honestly, where do I start? The bartenders are patient, kind, and professional. This is the kind of place that can go from slow to packed out in 30 minutes, and the bartenders are never phased. This family owned bar provides great service every single time. Best poured Guinness in Cincinnati easily, beautiful location, and perfect hole in the wall spot! Dare I say best bar in the Cincinnati area? Yes, it is!!!“
“We did the 2 hour paranormal tour last night with Alex. We had a great time! Alex was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took time to explain each area and answer questions. If he knew something was just a normal sound like water dripping he made sure to point it out. He brought his spirit box and EMF detector to investigate. He suggested taking pictures in a series of 3 to be able to compare which was a great suggestion! We did get some activity but didn’t feel threatened but it should definitely be known that it can be threatening and individuals have been affected.“
“It's a cute well done little bar. Nice out doors area, very affordable. It's still looking for it's customers tho. Currently here at 9:30pm on a Friday night and there's 4 people here counting me and my girlfriend. We'd probably come back just as a cheap drink to get out for a minute or a pit stop to other places.“
“Cozy local spot. Feels almost like a cabin, with lots of wood paneling. From the decor you’ll note that Reds fans are more than welcome. If the flyers on the walls (and in the ladies restroom) are accurate, looks like they have live music every evening of the week (!) Note: I came in the daytime, so wasn’t able to benefit from that- maybe next time.Service was friendly. My overall take: Worth checking out. Not fancy and not a chain/franchise - pure local flavor, in the best way.“
“I had a good experience at Molly Malone's for a Monday night dinner. I got the House Salad with ranch dressing. The salad was fine, but it was tiny, side-salad size. The menu did not indicate the small size, otherwise I would have ordered something else. Someone else in my party also ordered a salad and also found the size was insufficient for a meal by itself. To supplement, we ordered the vegetarian potato skins appetizer. The veggie potato skins were phenomenal, fried to perfection. Overall the restaurant was ok. It was fairly dark inside. The first booth we sat at had food left on the floor, so we moved to a different booth which was fine. The service was good. The music, the live bluegrass Monday night jam, was awesome!! It really contributed to the overall experience. The live band was my favorite part of the evening. I'm hoping to go back soon and give Molly's another try.“
“One of the oldest continually operating music venue/bar/restaurant in otr. Very friendly bartenders and cooks. It's a meticulously managed dive bar that if you look closely you can tell it was made too look divey but is still actually well run. Some of the nicest people ever work “
“We've lived near ATP for nearly 12 years and up until a few years ago when owners changed we never went. But now we have been several times that past few years and the place is so much better. It still has that dive bar, hometown bar feeling but the food has been great, they seem to have great activities going on, and the staff has been awesome.“
“This is absolutely one of my favorite bars in the city always amazing live music , with a heavy grateful Dead vibe, Wes the bartender is a hilarious short hobbitlike long haired hippie but a suave ladies man full of raw anecdotes that keep the vibe light and drinks flowing , but the crowd seems to be excepting and inclusively herbal out on the outside heated deck/smoking area there's few bars I've been to with so little ego or clicks, the place is always full of laughter and though it's a small venue to house such amazing live music with so many beautiful women dancing it definitely the funkiest (in a good way) music venue with affordable prices and live music every night and open mic on Sunday, if your looking for a new local scene you'll love these people, and most likely they'll love you too! If there's any place worth checking out it's this one, maybe I'll see you there! Check out the food truck too it's something special!“
“Transports you to an authentic English Pub.Love the wee fish and chips. Haven't had a bad meal there.Parking: We went on a Monday @5p, plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap packing in front of restaurant. No automatic doors“
“Our wedding was a couple weeks ago, and we still have people reaching out saying our wedding was the most fun they have had at one! Betsi made all of our wedding dreams come true. The food was AMAZING. We did the plated dinners, guests could choose between steak and chicken. We received countless compliments from our guests about how good the food was, that’s how you know it was that good! The entire room was served very quickly to which ensured our timeline for the reception went according to plan ? All table decor and set up was included in our package too! We came on Friday to help set up and to our surprise Betsi already had everything done! She really made the entire process stress free. The venue is beautiful too. From the lighting to the chandeliers to the backdrop behind the head table everything is included which is super rare to find in a wedding venue. What you see is what you get. The staff were all really friendly and efficient! We had open bar, and the bar was ran so well that there was never a line! Keep in mind we had 230 people and the majority were 21+. Betsi who is the main wedding coordinator is top notch. She really went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process. She was there every step of the way if we had questions, but with how hands on she was made planning the reception so easy which took a lot of the stress off of us. Words cannot express how truly grateful my husband and I are for the Syndicate staff and Betsi for all they did to make our reception so special. If you decide to have your reception there, you will not regret it!“
“The beer selection here and the hipster dive bar vibe is very fun. I had this Lychee beer there and tbh if not for the draw of my friends to the ramen place nearby I'd probably have stayed until there was no more lychee beer to drink. Worth a visit, and I guarantee you'll find something on the menu that will make you want to order another... or three.“
“I visited Mic's Pub 3: The Last Stand this past Friday night. The service was great. The ambiance is exactly what I was looking for. The bartender brought fresh popcorn to our table, for free may I add. They offered a nice selection of bar food. Fresh soft pretzels with cheese, hot dogs, chips, etc.. The bartender was very quick to serve drinks to my large group when we approached the bar. The prices and selection are the best in the area. No matter where you were sitting you had a view of multiple flatscreen television that had the games on. The bar also had golden tee, multiple electronic dart boards and keno. I will definitely be adding Mics to my rotation of hometown bars to visit on a night out!“
“Arthur's is the go-to spot for burgers and the best cheesesticks around. Their burger lineup is seriously impressive, offering something for everyone with top-notch quality. But let's talk about those cheesesticks – they're next level.Bottom line: If you're craving a burger fix with a side of cheesestick heaven, Arthur's is the place to be.Kid-friendliness: Our party included our 18 month old. The waiting staff was tremendous in accommodating.“
“Great family owned and operated pub. Solid standard food options like burgers, wings, and various sandwiches and salads. You will find something you like on the menu 100%. The food is consistently good and fresh. But the highlight is the staff. They are very engaging and friendly. They remember your name and make you feel like part of the family. St Bernard Pub feels like home. My lunch crew and I try to eat here once a week.“
“I love Our Pub! I pay 'em a visit every time I'm in town! Its got a pool table, darts, and a huge side and backyard with plenty of seating for everyone. Also in the backyard is a fully stocked shed with limited indoor seating. I always have a good time at the pub! Remember to tip your Bartenders!“
“I go here every year prior to the Cincinnati St Patrick’s Day Parade which is the Saturday before St Patrick’s day each year.Parking: The parking is outrageously expensive if you are there only 4-5 hours. It’s all the same whether you stay a couple of hours or 24 hours. Parking costs as much as a few drinks or an entire meal.“
“Perfection!Garth Burger, loaded, cup of chili, loaded, french fries, and a large Coke. It's been my order, my whole life and I love nothing more than that meal.Nostalgia has a lot to do with my review. lLile a lot of Cincinnatians who grow up in Hyde Park I have been going to this restaurant for over 45+ years. My happy place!“
“Happy St. Paddy's Day! Less insane the Hap's Irish Pub, but still a great place to toast our ancestors and the Emerald Isle. Apologies for the fish and chips, but they were a must for my husband! We did have an Irish mule and a Jamison.“
“Food and drinks were super tasty. We had Brian as our server and loved our time there! He suggested that we sit downstairs which was completely open for us. Brian offered information about specials and their best drinks. Definitely ask for him if you stop! The atmosphere of the place was great for a night out with friends.“
“This place is cool! It's basically your local neighborhood bar with an awesome bartender! Stop in and see Kiki! They also have a great music selection with a pool table. The interior could be updated but that doesn't bother me one bit. This was our 1st time coming to this establishment and we felt so welcomed! Will definitely be back!“
“What can I say other than 5 stars. Every time I'm in town I always stop by Tavern on York. The bartenders (especially Madison) are super friendly and welcoming. The drink prices are responsible and shots are delicious. I always have a good time when I'm here and make it a point to stop in when I'm traveling to Newport.“
“If you’re looking for a bar that embodies everything a bar should be this is it. Clean, quaint, and for the people. The prices seem to have completely dodged the inflation storm of 2022. Service has always been great and likely always will be. This spot deserves to stay around forever. 10/10 tip your bartenders!“
“We have been eating ZOLA BURGERS for years. Our recent visit was incredible because of Desiree, the bartender. Bartenders on that strip usually lack personality, but Desiree was sweet, knowledgeable, and warm. There are dozens of pubs on the strip with glitter and brass, but we will come back to KY for our Zola burgers...and Desiree.“
“I've done it. I've found the tastiest meal in Cincinnati. I know that is a bold statement when Skyline existsbut I am not even exaggerating when I say that this is hands down the most soul fulfilling meal you can find. Idk food like this might seem very simple to some people but to me it just makes me feel cozy and comforted. It's just some reliable food. You can't go wrong. I have been twice and had the vegan TLT both times. Fries are amazing. I love the food here so much and there is even a nice patio in the back.“
“We love to go out. Yesterday we went to this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a lovely evening there with excellent food and a professional crew and a professional chef. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall definitely return very soon. Highly recommended.“
“Finke's Pub is a fun, casual place to meet up with friends, have a few drinks, let loose a bit. There are a few regulars, but they're friendly. There's a pool table and some dart boards. The front opens up when it's nice and there's outside seating. You can bring in outside food, or just order it there, as they don't have a kitchen. It's a great place to toss a few back after work, or spend a few hours on the weekend.“
“This is your typical hole in the wall bar, aesthetically it's nothing special, offers pretty standard drink selections, bartenders have always been pleasant. But karaoke nights here are my so freaking fun & we've had some of my favorite nights here!“
“Good beer selection at a nice bar. The appetizers were pretty filling for me and my partner. It was really cool to see the bank vault turned into a seating area away from other people when the bar gets noisy. I noticed that they have trivia every Tuesday and paint nights every once in a while. I also loved how they made popcorn in a popcorn maker.“
“I've been here for karaoke on Fridays a few times and it's always a lot of fun. The place is a little cramped, but they have a back room with some games and outdoor seating when it's nice. Bartenders are friendly and do a good job.“
“A no frills bar that's cash only. They have dartboards in the back along with TouchTunes, although it was paused when I visited. There are a couple of TVs. The one TV in the back has sound that comes from the TV itself and doesn't have overhead or surrounding speakers. It's a little smaller as well compared to some places with bigger TVs. They have an ATM in case you don't have any cash on hand at the time. The general atmosphere was good in the bar.“
“Have ended many a night here over the span of many years, this place may not have the trendiest drinks nor the hippest crowds, but it has real people happily working and patronizing. A real gem, old Cov as it gets! Beautiful back bar, perhaps the most gorgeous in all of Kenton Co. Serves 7oz Little Kings, that says it all. Don't change a damn thing! Okay, maybe the name...“
“Fun place. Watch the steps room to room lol. The front bar room, a few mondays ago was slammed. I stood at the bar, thinking I was in line to order, however all orders are taken at the very very far end of the bar. That was my only complaint, no signage for ordering, I wasted a good 15 minutes standing there waiting for a bartender to even acknowledge me, finally I said hey, can I get a (whatever) and he politely informed me where to order. Mainly a college crowd, they were pretty friendly, and made a few friends!“
“First time I’ve been to the bar and it’s been incredible! Extremely friendly staff and i feel right at home. It’s also my birthday and everyone has made my day including the patrons. Also free pizza on game days!? Will definitely be back!“
“I love dive bars and beautiful Covington,KY has 2 great ones I visited back in June. This was the first visit as we strolled through downtown Covington on a rainy night. We were here on a Tuesday night, and they were busy. We sat at the bar near the front. The bar was half full, and most of the tables were taken. This looks like a small bar at first glance. However, there is a huge back part that looked pretty busy. What I loved about Mainstrausse is the number of beers available. They had one of the largest IPA selections I have ever seen. I think most were local breweries. I had a couple of those. Customer service was pretty much non-existent. This is a locals, neighborhood bar. The bartender just handed us our beers and walked off. We paid and left. Absolutely fine with me. I don't want to be treated in any special kind of way. Just hand me a cold beer, and we're good. Covington is a beautiful little town with friendly people. I'd like to go back at some time and visit Mainstrausse again.“
“One of the staff thought it'd be 'funny' to try and steal my purse. I was watching the band play and he tried to take my purse from me. He only stopped pulling on my purse when my friend and I yelled at him. He tried to play it off as a joke. I didnt get his name. We left after the incident. This place is not safe for women when staff are behaving like this.“
“Great place in Ft Thomas to come on for a beer and a game on the TV. Just a great local tavern feel. Street parking 2 hr limited but I say screw it... you're enforcing the local businesses. Have a drink, strike up some conversation on Reds, Bengals.... Heck anything and get into the local vibe.“
