Very cool place to visit if you’re passing through Kentucky. I made a quick stop in and didn’t get see everything because the place is so big. Enjoyed a tasting and some treat from the gift shop. Would love to return
Buffalo Trace has very deeps roots in bourbon history, which you can learn during their free tours. It is a very neat place to visit, with people visiting from all around the globe. Scheduling a tour is a bit of a nightmare, because all of the tour slots are full months in advance. I recommend going on the waitlist for whichever date you want, because that’s how I was able to get in. Always so interesting to see how things are made. Took the Trace tour which was mostly outdoors. Tour guide was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The grounds are well maintained and pretty. Sadly unable to buy any of the bourbon I was hoping to find. It's just too competitive.
