Just found this place while on a road trip from California. Fell in love with it and Summer was awesome and so friendly. Food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. Highly recommend.
Fun place in the water. Wonderful staff. Weds afternoon so no crowd

Based on the reviews, Benson Valley Marina and Willie’s Restaurant and tiki bar is a hidden gem on the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is not visible from the main road, but worth the trip. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are really down-to-earth and friendly. The owner and staff are friendly. It is a neat, unique place with outdoor seating and is dog friendly. The restaurant is cash only. At the end of the summer season, the menu is shrinking for winter. The food is great. Specific meals mentioned include a catfish sandwich and french fries, the cheese burger, double cheeseburger, seasoned fries, and houseboat salad. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the burgers were great. The full bar has great bourbon and cold beer, and they serve Coke products. The only downside mentioned is the road, which is like driving through a construction lane. Some recommend an SUV or truck, or walking or biking.
