“My son and I were passing thru on our way to Red Boiling Springs. When we turned on the main drag of this small town we could smell the BBQ. We decided to stop and have the rib dinner. It was amazing. Got the hot bbq sauce and slaw and green beans for sides. I'm drooling as I type this. Now my son and I are trying to find an excuse to make the 7 hour trek for more.This place is in the middle of nowhere but we'll worth the detour.”

“My first time visiting this town today 10/02/23 had to pickup a load Frank Miller Wood Mill so I wanted some dinner I saw this restaurant, they allowed me to park my big semi truck and trailer in the parking across from the front door, I got the seafood platter, salad, french fries, and sweet tea woooo it was DELICIOUS ? ? “Greeted with wonderful wood smoke smell coming from out back, a big smile from the girl taking our order who could not have been sweeter! Down to earth, home style ! Nothing fancy decor wise . Saw lots of drive through and pick up orders.Ribs were good chicken was good but the sides were what I would go back for. Potato casserole my personal favorite. I prefered the mayo slaw over the vinegar but both were yummy. Definitely "get you some!"”

“If you're looking for a place to enjoy a hearty meal with your loved one, look no further than Bob's house. This steakhouse is more than just a restaurant, it's a home away from home. Me and my GF stopped by here on our road trip and we were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo with curly fries, and I was not disappointed. The steak was tender and juicy, but I would have liked a bit more spice. The shrimp skewer was grilled to perfection, and the garlic toast was out of this world. My GF had the ribeye, a baked potato and the garlic toast, and she loved every bite. She also agreed the steak needed some more spice. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We felt like we were part of Bob's family. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town. Bob's house is a must-try for anyone passing through the area.”

“Drove 4 hours to try this restaurant after watching TrueSouth. Arrived at the restaurant and a hand written note on the door that said, “Closed. Will be open in a little bit”. I met some very nice local folks as we all chatted while we waited for them to reopen. We were let inside after about 45 minutes of waiting. Unfortunately, the day I got there the restaurant was short staffed so my experience wasn’t the best. Talking with the locals and receiving advice from them about what to order definitely made the experience more pleasant. We found out the employees needed to temporarily close to pat more burgers for us before they could open again. I ordered my burgers and watched the man and woman flip the burgers thru the various pans while the wait staff prepared buns and condiments for the orders. The burger was decent but not an absolute destination burger. Because the restaurant was busy, didn’t have patties prepared, and short staffed I didn’t get anywhere near the experience that I watched on tv or read about in other reviews. I went on a Tuesday right before noon so I didn’t think I would hit peak hours. Overall the food was good and very reasonably priced, staff was nice even though understaffed, locals were absolutely awesome! I will stop here again to give it another try - but only if I’m in the area. I wouldn’t consider this a destination restaurant.”

“A few months ago when I last came here, I had to wait literally 5 minutes for the workers to have a conversation in the back. Today, all workers where front and center ready to make my food. They was very friendly and made sure they made it how I wanted. The toppings and meat was very evenly spread on my sub, and I even heard someone concerned that the cheese was not spread enough on someone else's sub. And they even topped it off with a free peice of fudge! Great place to eat!”
