Allison Moore is amazing at making you feel welcome and cared about. She goes above and beyond in her job performance and is accommodating and accurate with dine in as well as carryout orders. She keeps us coming back time after time. Do yourself a favor and not just dine at Hometown Roots but ask that Allison Moore is your server.“

“Plan your getaway now! We love eating at Farmer and Frenchman but we love staying there even more! We stayed for the first time for a two night getaway for our anniversary and it couldn’t have been any better! We at dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay with amazing food and service. The service is just as great for the accommodations and making sure we were taken well care of for our two night stay. The breakfast we preordered arrived around 9:00 and was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and make that part of your stay. Also make sure to stroll around the property. We loved walking around the farm and enjoying a beautiful sunny day. We even picked some wild mulberries along the trail! Katy made sure our stay was perfect and was there to answer questions and Hubert made sure our dining experiences were top notch!“

“We went to visit the River Kitty Cat Cafe three times while we were in town. We had a great experience each time. There was a cat advocate volunteer in there each time to make sure the cats were comfortable. The coffee, macarrones, and protein shakes were tasty. The staff and cat advocates were knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in town.“

This place is like taking a step back in time. I love going there there's a small area for a singer or a dj. Nothing crazy or too loud to speak over.

“I keep seeing the staff park by the door and right in front the restaurant. We keep having to park in the parking lot a few rows down. My 93 year old mother would love the few less steps to the restaurant. I would have loved one of those closer spots when I broke my foot. Why are those closer parking spots for the staff and not for customers? I find that strange. The staff I see parking close seem to walk just fine and are not loading items. They just seem to be leaving for the night. Please designate the closer parking spots for customers and not just for staff and waiters only. Thank you.“

“Personal Crab Rangoon Rating: 9/10Perfect crunch, perfect filling to dough ratio! The filling on this one is also not too sweet but not overwhelmingly savory, it's just perfect to me. I think sometimes other places also make the filling a little too liquid-y but not this place! I will say though, they don't have that traditional rangoon shape, but honestly I don't mind with how good they taste, it's completely fine if they're a little wonky in my opinion. You get 6 crab rangoons for only $3.15! Best deal in town if you ask me~ I highly recommend you try this place out at least once, you'll be sad to miss out on such a life changing crab experience! “My family had a wonderful meal this evening. We came to eat big $ with Alaskan king crab legs, steaks, salads, martinis plus a bottle of wine celebrating a milestone birthday! Reservations were made 2 weeks in advance for a river view table and had mentioned this was for a 65th birthday celebration. Everything was perfect...the river table view, ambience, Everything was going very well until a much larger group was seated beside us. Our waiter was wonderful at first, but he dumped us to spend more time with the larger group. This table was served first and waiter brought a special birthday dessert to patron at larger table. Envy!! Yes, I was a little jealous as I had made our reservations in advance, called the night before to confirm and the person told me she knew it was for a 65th birthday. Upon our arrival I suppose I expected more like a..."hello, happy birthday"! No, he must have wanted a much bigger tip even though we always tip 20-25%. The waiter was truly into the other larger table. Even the service we received back in February was far better with a wonderful and personable waitress with dark brown hair. We saw her this evening. Will ask for her next time as she has huge personality and goes above and beyond to make your experience one you will never forget. The waiter tonight lacked personality and was not attentive. On the flip side, our meal was amazing. Best king crab legs ever! XOXO“

“went there every week with a church group until we started getting a different waitress. she was rude on one occasion and for 3 weeks in a row accused one person of stealing her pen. this woman is causing this place to loose business. we really had good food and service before. she is the older of the breakfast staff too. you would think she would be better.“
