Original owner recreated his mom's recipes from New Orleans. The food is solid and has a good variety of spicy and not-so-spicy bowls. Drunken Chicken is my favorite and hits the spot on a cold day.
Lovely food for the most part, this location seemed like the flavor was lacking slightly compared to other J. Gumbo's I'd been to but. Still recommend the bumblebee stew with voodoo chicken for a nice combo!
Just as we pulled up to the Wendy’s parking lot we found J. Gumbos. This place is a gem. We immediately ditched Wendy’s and had lunch here. They gave us free Gumbo testers and everything we tried was great. Whenever you make the way here you’ll have to stop by J. Gumbos!!
