Kyushu Japanese Steakhouse Reviews
Terrible service and insanely rude staff. Food made us sick and we had to pay for to-go containers.
This was my go to spot in the past. It’s terrible now. You can’t get extra anything even if you pay for it. No additional sriracha, no jalapeño peppers. I’m a sushi lover but not if I don’t have any spices. The staff need to tell people before ordering that they don’t have spices or sauces, so you can decide to stay or go to another restaurant.
the food is amazing and very entertaining for the hibachi

Kyushu Japanese Steakhouse is a popular restaurant in Louisville, known for its excellent service and generous portions. The restaurant offers a vast selection of sushi rolls, including the King Kano and Yummy Highlander, which are presented elegantly and served promptly. The staff is accommodating and attentive, refilling drinks and water without being asked. Vegetarian options are plentiful, both on the sushi menu and in the soups.
Customers praise the restaurant's hibachi offerings, with the yum yum sauce being a standout. The salads are also enjoyed, being doused in a flavorful ginger dressing. The hibachi chef is described as awesome and nice, and the food quality and quantity are amazing. The ambiance is good, and the restaurant is a great place to visit with family and friends. The Teppan Entree (Teriyaki Chicken) is a popular choice, coming with a soup, salad, sautéed veggies, and fried rice.
Despite occasional inconsistencies, such as rushed hibachi shows and overcooked food during later reservations, the restaurant remains a favorite among locals, who appreciate the wonderful service, great prices, and high-quality food. Customers are advised to arrive early to secure a seat at the bar grills, as the restaurant can sometimes run low on chefs during peak hours.
