Stitzel-Weller Distillery Reviews
Excellent tour. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our guide, Sean, was both knowledgeable and funny. One of my favorite distillery tours. Garden and Gun Club was a fun stop before and after the tour. Trevor makes an amazing old fashioned!
Just the best people and a distillery tour that keeps you in the greater Louisville area, outside downtown but once your walking the ground you feel as if you could be out in the hollers or farms of the Commonwealth. The history is without compare. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and pours are proper and showcase the diversity of a rich bourbon family past.
Great tour experience with Sean who was a wealth of knowledge. Interesting history of the Stitzel-Weller name on a wonderfully classy location

The Stitzel-Weller Distillery offers a great atmosphere with knowledgeable staff, making it a favorite spot on the bourbon trail. The campus is charming and informative, worth the visit for a tasting and a trip to the Garden & Gun Club. Unique tours include sampling throughout the experience, not just at the end. The tour provides a great look at the history of American whiskey, showcasing the rise, fall, and comeback over the past 100 years. The bar and restaurant serve fantastic food and diverse cocktails, with the old fashioned and smoked trout dip being highly recommended. Visitors can appreciate the rich history, with energetic guides who share fascinating stories about the distillery. The site is beautifully preserved, and drinks, including classics like Bulleit Rye and the Blade and Bow brand, are highly recommended. Going on a Monday afternoon can help avoid crowds, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The property is beautiful, even on a rainy day, and the distillery has a lot of history. The tour is informative about the history, and the guide, Jean, is amazing. Each whiskey and bourbon tasted is amazing. Visitors can enjoy a cocktail at the Garden and Gun cocktail lounge before or after the tour.
