Tacos D Amor - Nulu is a restaurant in Louisville offering most authentic Mexican food. The owner is amazing and accommodating to entire families, with an amazing atmosphere and service. The food and margaritas are amazing, and the portions are huge. The food is really good, though prices are kinda insane for what it is—perfect for deep pockets but not good on a budget, though overall it is worth it. The location is a little small and parking can be hard to find. The staff is friendly and quick to serve, and the food is awesome. The vibe, the food, and especially the drinks hit—a cocktail with a tajín rim and fresh citrus is perfectly balanced with just the right kick, and the jalapeño slice is a nice touch. The tacos are absolutely loaded with flavor, with tender, well-seasoned meat topped with a creamy, slightly spicy sauce and pickled onions. The chips and queso are smooth, rich, and dangerously addictive. The atmosphere is fun and colorful with great energy. Some note the lights are too bright, the decor looks like it's trying too hard, there is tons of ugly generative AI shlock on the walls, the AC is too cold, and the service is mid—but the food is to die for, so order take-out.
