“I’ve been eating at First Watch for years, and they’ve always been one of my favorite breakfast and brunch spots. This newer Independence location is clean, bright, and welcoming, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. I appreciate that they offer plenty of healthier choices alongside the classic breakfast favorites, so there’s something for everyone. The service has always been friendly, and it’s easy to see why First Watch continues to be one of my go-to places. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!”

“Alexandria brewing company is a great spot ! which has plenty of tables and a large tv projected to catch the best games. Their bartenders are friendly and welcoming. Their beer is top notch, and they have a guest tap too which keeps it fresh as well. Looking forward to bringing our dog next time and sitting outside.

Also Bender's Pub Grub inside the brewery is SO good - this is way better than your usual bar food.

Highly recommend to anyone - we drive from 30 mins away for their beer & food! Excited for their new location in West Chester.”

“I will say the day shift is amazing I love Tia she is such a sweetheart and its very nice and cleaned . But nightshift don't know who the knew girl is but apparently she doesn't do nothing the machines were very dirty and wet beer spilled on them cigarettes butts all over the floor dirty dishes on the games.when I walked in she never asked if you need anything my friend waited 10min before he got a beer tonight . Maybe instead of playing on the machines then this place would be much nicer and cleaner at night . I will say when Kelly was working nights it least she did work her butt off but this other girl no she won't do nothing.”

“After seeing a few of their drivers around Independence, I decided to try Snappy Tomato and ordered online for delivery. I typically prefer carry-out, but hey, whatever. I chose a medium “Bacon Ranch” thin crust and a medium “Snapperoni” on traditional as variety truly is the spice of life. This was on a Friday night and the pizza arrived within 30-35 minutes, snappy indeed. Things really started looking up when the friendly driver handed me my order and the combined pies had a decent weight to them, in pizza this is always a good sign. Upon initial inspection both pies were hot, had just the right amount of toppings and baked to a perfect golden glow. In fact, for a moment as I simultaneously opened each box I thought I caught the sound of ethereal choir voices harmoniously rising in the background. Without hesitation I grabbed a slice of each and unsurprisingly both were absolutely delicious, tasting just as amazing as they looked. All the toppings were fresh, the cheese chewy and satisfying, and piled upon quality sauce and a perfectly cooked, delicious crust. The taste took me back to the 1980s-90s when, and I’m sorry if you’re too young to have experienced this, our go-to pizza places just tasted better. Rightly so, Snappy Tomato has become my new favorite local pizza place and I will be ordering again. Thanks!”

“I’ve been coming to Empress Chili in Alexandria for quite some time, and the food is always excellent. But one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is Dee at the drive-thru.

Dee is truly a wonderful person. She always has a smile, a great attitude, and a way of making you feel genuinely welcome. No matter what kind of day I’m having, seeing Dee and talking with her for those few moments at the drive-thru always seems to brighten my day. That kind of friendliness and kindness is something you just don’t find everywhere anymore.

The food at Empress is great, but exceptional employees are what really make a place special—and Dee is absolutely one of those people. She is a tremendous asset to Empress Chili and, quite honestly, one of the main reasons I continue to come back.
