Great staff and service. Attentive and nice. Drinks are reasonably priced. Tap beer selection is limited though. Mixed drinks were well made. Music is all over the place but not bad. Great spot to chill before and after a show at Ovation down the block. Can get tight if packed.
I always loved this place even years before I owned it stop on down when you're in town or just need a place to relax with a old school look with a copper bar and with old beautiful wood and I also have the biggest patio in Newport Kentucky everyone calls me Tony and my beautiful wife chermaine the lady of Tavern I call her.

What can I say other than 5 stars. Every time I'm in town I always stop by Tavern on York. The bartenders (especially Madison) are super friendly and welcoming. The drink prices are responsible and shots are delicious. I always have a good time when I'm here and make it a point to stop in when I'm traveling to Newport.
