“I love that it's all you can eat, but you have to settle for slightly lesser quality as you do for all buffets. It's still alright. The hibachi is worth trying and has the best quality and I like their spread of appetizers and desserts. I think the main dishes are the weakest part from sitting out too long, but not a problem if you go early enough. Staff is very attentive. Place has cleaned up in recent years.“

“This is my favorite local Chinese place. My family has ordered from here about once a month for the last few years and it never disappoints. :)

The staff are always really nice. The single time they forgot something from our order, they sent another delivery with an extra soda, which was a nice surprise.

Their noodles are especially good! You should get an extra side order to have for lunch tomorrow. :)“

“I came here for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. My meal was very hot and the fried rice is full of flavor. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants good Asian food.“

“This is the best Chinese food place! It’s a family-run business that still gives tremendous customer service despite COVID. There is no indoor dining right now, but their carry-out service is still great. Masks are worn and social distance is maintained. I’ve never had bad food here. My food is always hot when I get home, and all food is nutritious and appealing. I especially love the vegetable bean curd soup and the vegetable rolls. I’ve also had some of their vegetable dishes. Portion sizes are generous, and the customer service has always been superb. I highly recommend Wah Mei, located in the Hartland Shopping Center on Hartland Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky.“

“First things first: Cheng’s is a wonderful restaurant with a gig-delivery OR customer pick up model and no seating for diners. We prefer to pick ours up which gives us a couple of minutes to enjoy the fragrances wafting out of their kitchen. The food is well prepared, fresh, and well packaged for the drive home. The counter service is polite and efficient. The parking is easy (they also have a drive-through pick up window). If you go pick up a paper menu to make ordering easier the second time. FYI, the five stars for atmosphere is because the waiting area is comfortable, clean and smells delicious.“

“My first time going was today during lunch. I went because I walked into a co-workers office and the entire office smelled absolutely delicious. I immediately asked them where they got their food from and both people in there had just gotten food from this place and told me what they got. I proceeded to go. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and it was absolutely delicious and so was the fried rice. “Decided to try a nearby place, I don't think we've ordered here before. Very good food! We had Hunan Combination, Sweet and Sour Chicken, vegetable egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and white and fried rice. I usually don't like the sweet and sour sauce of places but this was good. My Hunan with chicken, shrimp, beef and vegetables was nicely done, a bit of spice , and all meats were tender.“

“OK, here goes. There are Chinese Buffets, some subpar, to say the least; then, there is No 1 China Buffet on Reynolds Road, Lexington, KY. I went there, for the 1st time. I don't even know where to begin. If you weren't careful, you would swear that you walked into a Chinese Fine-Dining restaurant. The lights are kinda low, where the tables are. Music is playing softly, smooth vibes all around. Then, it hits you, the aroma of all the deliciousness you can think of. The buffet offers traditional Chinese, hibachi, sushi, salad, some basic American dishes and desserts. The buffet offers a variety of desserts that also include a self-serve ice cream bar. The tables, dishes etc are clean..very clean.They have children pricing for 5 and under; as well as, for ages 5 to 10. This makes it very affordable for families. This Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh and plentiful buffet options, including sushi, hibachi, and crab legs, and many appreciate the friendly and attentive service. It was all piping hot and fresh, the establishment was clean, the service was good and everyone I came into contact with (employee-wise) was very friendly. Sushi was fresh and plentiful. There's plenty of handicap spaces. The doors aren't automatic; but easy to open. This restaurant is located next door to Splash em Out Laundromat. You can eat at the restaurant or you can use takeout that's weighed by the pound, I think. I got takeout for 2 people and the plates were full and only cost $23 with tax.

So if you're finishing up shopping at Fayette Mall, doing laundry or any other time when you don't want to cook, head on over to No 1 China Buffet.

Vegetarian options: There's quite a few Vegetarian(Meat-free) options to choose from.

“​I absolutely love the food here. The plates of fried rice and, especially, the walnut shrimp are among the most amazing tastes to ever touch my palate. The friendliness of the staff is also always an upside; they never lack in that department. The atmosphere is super relaxed and gives off a sort of international vibe but still close to home. ❤️
​My only real complaint arose on this last trip. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and I understand that they were low on ingredients. I want to give them grace for the limited portions because of the late hour. However, they did not have enough for the full course of walnut shrimp but sold it to me anyway, giving me only a half-portion.
​My main issue is that they still charged the full price without offering any cost reduction. It was also a little hard to communicate a replacement option, so I ultimately settled for the full price for a half-portion.
​Overall: A fantastic place that I will definitely return to, but I hope they can address their policy on pricing for partial orders in the futurebor at least offer replacements. 😉“
