Depending on day of week and time of day the food is usually better early in the day, then worse later, but sometimes they have their odd days when the food is just not very good at all. “I've been ordering delivery from Wong Wong for several years. All I can say is YUMMM!!! The food is always hot and fresh. The staff will try to accommodate in any way for substitutions and customer satisfaction. My go to items are the teriyaki chicken skewers, boneless bbq spare ribs, chicken or beef with broccoli, and they have the best egg drop soup in Lexington hands down. I've honestly never received any food from them that hasn't been absolutely delicious!“

“First things first: Cheng’s is a wonderful restaurant with a gig-delivery OR customer pick up model and no seating for diners. We prefer to pick ours up which gives us a couple of minutes to enjoy the fragrances wafting out of their kitchen. The food is well prepared, fresh, and well packaged for the drive home. The counter service is polite and efficient. The parking is easy (they also have a drive-through pick up window). If you go pick up a paper menu to make ordering easier the second time. FYI, the five stars for atmosphere is because the waiting area is comfortable, clean and smells delicious.“

“New Shanghai Bistro Tates Creek Centre is a hidden gem. It's located right next door to Kroger and several other businesses in that Strip Mall. It has a very quaint look and feel to it. It's my go-to whenever we are shopping or visiting friends/family, in the area. The lady who takes your order is really friendly. She wants to know everything about how you want your food(i.e. spice tolerance, dislikes etc). So, if you're a picky eater, this is a spot for you. What surprised us was the fact that there are pictures of, I'm Assuming, every single dish they serve, on their wall. I have never seen that before. That was pretty cool to see and look at. At least you knew what that dish looks like or supposed to look like.

Now, on to the food. Y'all it's HOT, so make sure to blow on it. DO NOT do what I did and just popped it into my mouth, immediately. For the record, I was HUNGRY! Everything we ordered was good, fresh and the stuffed to the rim. Some people reviewing this place, complaining about the prices; but you're getting double the portion..duh. Each plate can easily feed 2 people. You'll have leftovers for sure. There was a review from Ty-Ah May claiming the lady was racist against People of Color, claiming she wrote the 'N-word' on their receipt. Well, she is NOT! Heck, I'm a Person of Color; as well as, the rest of my family and she was nice to us. So please, disregard ALL of those negative reviews and try this place for yourself.

They are open every day except on Monday. So plan accordingly. So, if you're in the Tates Creek area and have a hunger for Chinese food, head over to New Shanghai Bistro in Tates Creek Centre.“

“I came here for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. My meal was very hot and the fried rice is full of flavor. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants good Asian food.“

“This is the best Chinese food place! It’s a family-run business that still gives tremendous customer service despite COVID. There is no indoor dining right now, but their carry-out service is still great. Masks are worn and social distance is maintained. I’ve never had bad food here. My food is always hot when I get home, and all food is nutritious and appealing. I especially love the vegetable bean curd soup and the vegetable rolls. I’ve also had some of their vegetable dishes. Portion sizes are generous, and the customer service has always been superb. I highly recommend Wah Mei, located in the Hartland Shopping Center on Hartland Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky.“

“Decided to try a nearby place, I don't think we've ordered here before. Very good food! We had Hunan Combination, Sweet and Sour Chicken, vegetable egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and white and fried rice. I usually don't like the sweet and sour sauce of places but this was good. My Hunan with chicken, shrimp, beef and vegetables was nicely done, a bit of spice , and all meats were tender.“

“OK, here goes. There are Chinese Buffets, some subpar, to say the least; then, there is No 1 China Buffet on Reynolds Road, Lexington, KY. I went there, for the 1st time. I don't even know where to begin. If you weren't careful, you would swear that you walked into a Chinese Fine-Dining restaurant. The lights are kinda low, where the tables are. Music is playing softly, smooth vibes all around. Then, it hits you, the aroma of all the deliciousness you can think of. The buffet offers traditional Chinese, hibachi, sushi, salad, some basic American dishes and desserts. The buffet offers a variety of desserts that also include a self-serve ice cream bar. The tables, dishes etc are clean..very clean.They have children pricing for 5 and under; as well as, for ages 5 to 10. This makes it very affordable for families. This Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh and plentiful buffet options, including sushi, hibachi, and crab legs, and many appreciate the friendly and attentive service. It was all piping hot and fresh, the establishment was clean, the service was good and everyone I came into contact with (employee-wise) was very friendly. Sushi was fresh and plentiful. There's plenty of handicap spaces. The doors aren't automatic; but easy to open. This restaurant is located next door to Splash em Out Laundromat. You can eat at the restaurant or you can use takeout that's weighed by the pound, I think. I got takeout for 2 people and the plates were full and only cost $23 with tax.

So if you're finishing up shopping at Fayette Mall, doing laundry or any other time when you don't want to cook, head on over to No 1 China Buffet.

“This is my regular Panda Express for a reason. The drive from my house takes me down the beautiful Fontaine Rd, which is as stunning as all get out come fall and winter. Upon arrival, they are quite friendly and accommodating. The portion sizes are excellent and they are quick to correct any mistakes. They accidentally gave me this poor guy named Austin's order and he had a rather strange meal choice but I will not air him out on here. I hold this Panda Express very near and dear to my heart.“
